Yes but if he didn't do that in Glasgow he would be subject to sectarian abuse every day for the rest of his life.

An INCREDIBLE 2nd leg in the Copa Libertadores semi between Palmeiras and River Plate.

0-3 down from the 1st leg River scraped back to go 2-0 up, had a goal contentiously ruled out, got a pen, had that chalked off as they were about to take it (rightly), had a man sent off, then had a pretty decent penalty shout turned down in the 98th minute.

Unbelievable scenes. Try and catch the highlights if you can.

Nigel Reo-Coker on co commentary for a big bang of mid 00s. Hes alright as well.

Edit: Incredible commentary. Thought it was a glitch for a while.

Real Madrid's 62m euro signing, Luka Jovic rejoined Eintracht Frankfurt on loan on Thursday. He came on for the last 30 minutes in yesterdays game and scored the same amount of goals as he had in his 18 month stay in Madrid.

Max Meyer has had his Crystal Palace contract cut up. This was such a weird signing when it happened. That season, he helped Schalke finish 2nd in the Bundesliga. Leon Goretzka went to Bayern Munich on a free. Thilo Kehrer goes to PSG. Max Meyer ends up at Crystal Palace on a free. 22 years old at the time and one of Germany's brightest youth players. It hasn't worked for him in London. Every season he had less input in the first team. This season, he was training with the u-23's. Roy Hodgson put out a statement saying he was a model professional and was reluctant for him to leave.

After the absolute wank served up by the English Premier League this afternoon, Atlanta-San Martin came up with a belter of a play off, which included managers being sent off, stupid goals and going to penalties.  Short thread here:

And fresh from his banger in the week against Boca, Soteldo scored another cracker. I have only seen him in a couple of games, after reading about him for ages, and he is very impressive...but he is TINY! I can't get over how small he looks when he plays.

Reminder that the Copa Libertadores final between Santos and Palmeiras is tonight, 8pm KO (from 7.50 on iplayer, red button, BBC Sport website).

Hopefully it's better than last years (which only came to life right at the end hilariously), and I think Santos will shade it, but we'll see.

Great write up on hobbit Yeferson Soteldo here. Carrying on the tradition of low socks/no visible shinpads like Grealish and...erm, Steve Claridge.
