As much as I hate him, RVP VS Spain during the 2014 World Cup has to be up there.

Keith Houchen
Best header? I think there was one in the 87 Cup Final that was ok.
Paid Members CleetusVanDamme Posted June 3, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted June 3, 2019 Drogba obviously has a few contenders. Think this might be my favourite.
Moderators PowerButchi Posted June 3, 2019 Moderators Share Posted June 3, 2019 Steve Nicol powered one in vs Arsenal from about a continent out.

Remember that one off the Mighty Reds tape when I was a kid. Liverpool in that all silver kit. He scored a load of goals in the first part of that season. Got a hat-trick at Newcastle. From right-back.

StrongStyle
There have been some fine header merchants over the years. Jan Koller was good for a power header. The best kind of headed goals are the ones where the attacker arrives from deep off-camera. Henrik Larsson was also immense in the air. He was relatively short but seemed to hover mid-air when he leapt.

Paid Members Murtz Posted June 5, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted June 5, 2019 Some not so obvious ones.. Chicharito's back header against Stoke sticks out in the memory. Also, Huth's bullet header at Spurs in Leicester's title winning season. Not just because of the quality of the header, but that was the moment people started to believe it could be their year. Fog Dude
Since Progrès Niederkorn are one of the tags on this thread, it's probably fair to mention that they've been drawn against Cardiff Met in the Europa League preliminary round today, with the second leg in Wales. Barry Town and Cliftonville got drawn to face each other. In the Champions League extra preliminary round, which takes place in 2 weeks time (so just 24 days after the previous season's final) the champions of Gibraltar are away to the champions of Kosovo. The champions of San Marino play the champions of Andorra, meaning a team from one of those countries is actually going to win a CL tie. In both competitions, Scottish teams enter in the following round. But UEFA are waiting until next week to do those draws, for some reason. Moderators PowerButchi Posted June 12, 2019 Moderators Share Posted June 12, 2019 I hope not! No continuity in the first XI. And one of the players lucky enougg to get a run of two games is James fucking Lawrence who made fantastic rugby tackle in the lead up to the Hungary goal. We've potentially got the finest team in our history here and that sister shagger is ruining it

Underwhelming update on this: still lots of either/ors, but it looks like Rangers and TNS will both be off to Kosovo (though Gibraltar remains a possibility for both). Celtic will definitely be visiting Bosnia-Herzegovina for their return leg. The winners of the big Luxemburgish-Welsh clash get Cork City. All the other Irish teams seem to have to travel to Norway or Sweden, and Aberdeen face a trip to Rovaniemi in Finland. Connah's Quay Nomads and Kilmarnock got drawn against each other, with the decisive leg at Rugby Park. Apart from that Battle of Britain, clearly UEFA must think we in these islands find Scandinavia and the Balkans lovely this time of year. Except people from Dundalk, who get to go to the Baltics instead...
