Minor PPVs that don't deserve a thread *Spoilers*

He didn't have powers (for lack of a better term) when he had his singles feud with Taker at Wrestlemania, he did "harvest" Taker and Kane's powers during the buildup to that tag match at Survivor Series later that same year. Well, he did for one promo anyway.

Even the cult leader thing would struggle to have legs unless he disappeared for any prolonged period. He's never had more than 3 followers at any one time. If you can't even get enough to make a 5-a-side team, you sure as hell arn't a cult.

The night they debuted, they had those bits at the compound and their was a guy in a darkened room holding his head like voices were talking to him repeatedly saying "obey". And that was never seen again, it all very quickly just turned into him with his two henchmen, who then disbanded out of the blue for no real reason then got together again, which then went up to three henchmen  for a little bit when Strowman came in. He needs to go away for at least six months and come back with a completely new image and at least 8 or 9 guys with him. They don't even need to all be guys from the roster, just put them all in the same mask. That's basic cult brand awareness

Bray is on my ever-growing list of upper card guys I have virtually no interest in, which also includes Ambrose and Rollins. Zayn and Owens are on the cusp of that list, too. The thing is with Bray is that it all means nothing. It's all just a load of babbling bollocks that never actually leads to anything of substance. After a shaky start by sticking him in a feud with Kane, it started off really well and his feud with Daniel Bryan was done brilliantly. The Cena feud had its moments and the short-lived Shield feud produced an absolute classic match, but other than that it's been the same old boring shit with him.

I genuinely can't think of a great Bray promo. When he first came in, I thought his promos were brilliant. But they couldn't have been really, because they've been more or less exactly the same since, which completely takes away their meaning. I can't think of a stand-out promo...although I have vague recollections of one where he was sitting in his rocking chair in the ring with a spotlight. Was that for the Taker feud, and the chair caught alight?

I really enjoyed the stuff with Orton when they were a unit, right up until the arson angle, where it all went off a cliff. I thought Bray was actually pretty decent as part of that tag team, so only for November to March I guess, but still. He's had loads of brief flashes of potential brilliance, and he seems to do what he can with what they give him, but he really needs to be booked strongly, and on his part show a more consistent character/direction/motivation.

They could still turn him around, but WWE are definitely running out of chances to do so before he becomes just another guy (if he isn't already).

Yeah to be honest the recent stuff at the back end of last year is the most into Bray I have been since the Daniel Bryan angle, they had something about them as a unit did Bray and Orton, apart I despise the both of them but together I couldn't get enough of it, I don't know what the fuck happened, one minute I was loving it and the next Randy was being Martin Riggs from Lethal Weapon and fucking burning down shit.

I can't be arsed to look at the timeline now but surely, surely to god the way to go was a triple threat with Styles involved, with the turn coming when Randy just RKO's Bray and wins the belt at Mania to what would have been a huge reaction. Whether that was possible in how it played out I don't know, what with the permutations but they should have made it so it was.

Did you know the Orton/Wyatt feud lasted over 8 months?? 8 fucking months!! Started on Smackdown in late August, with their Backlash 'match' taking place a couple of weeks later.

100%

They were having a shitty feud that looked like it was heading for a casket match, then Randy RKO'd Kane Outta Nowhere one night and they were fucking awesome for months, great as a team, terrific matches with Alpha, great story with Harper going on. Right until the fire shit and from there it just descended further into some really baffling and uninteresting hokeyness that totally killed it dead. Whoever came up with that needs the sack, surely it wasn't the person putting out some of the best TV wrestling in years on NXT and for a good while on Smackdown?

I still don't know why they didn't put Harper in the match at Mania, tells a good story and 1000 times more intrigue. They'd probably have a cracker of a match too. it looked like that was their path too when they had that battle royal with the shite finish then Luke went tumbling back to the midcard

I'm in the minority that liked the House of Horrors match a lot more than most - I actually enjoyed it and thought it was a lot of fun.  I'll qualify that, however, by clarifying that I enjoyed it more from a wacky pro wrestling cartoon goofiness perspective (similar to Austin & Booker in the supermarket, or the Strowman/Reigns/stretcher/ambulance stuff) than anything to be taken seriously.  I haven't ever really been interested in the Bray Wyatt character anyway, so thought this was a good laugh.

Bray's always been a load of bollocks, though, hasn't he. Since he arrived his promos have always been about darkness this, devil that, serpent shite, without actually saying anything or anyone having a clue what he was on about. I'm not one for fantasy booking or anything, but he's probably beyond repair now.

What was the last good promo Bray cut? The "Anyone but you" promo on Roman Reigns?

Monday. Just the follow up rendered it pointless. Which is the issue.

Last good thing Bray Wyatt did was the fed with the Wyatts vs The Shield. I remember the one pay per view they were all stood opposite eachother in the ring and the atmosphere was intense as shit, like an attitude era moment. Since he went solo..... Meh

I'd contradict that by saying the last good thing he did was actually that night he tagged with Roman and was face for about half an hour at the end of the show, after 'Mania last year when they were going to do Wyatts/League of Nations. Then one of the Nations got injured or released or something and the whole 'Bray Wyatt as face' thing got dropped.

There was a point while Wyatt was tagging with Reigns, Wyatt had one of League of Nations pinned, and he just lifted his hand & pointed to the other guy as Reigns speared him. It was the most effortlessly cool he's ever looked. Why they can't channel that instead of having him sucking air in a manky kitchen against Randy Orton is beyond me.

I know I'm a big defender of Wyatt - I've said before that I'll be the last guy whose still a fan - but I do find a lot of opinion on him baffling. He's got a great look, he's a supreme talker, he's got charisma coming out of his arse, he's worked himself into good shape and he can go.

I'll not attempt to defend some of those rambling promos or the lack of character development because that's the reason he's still in flux today. I also get that for the length of time he's been around with all the talent he has, there should be hundreds of great moments by now - not a handful.

But that said, I find a lot of the dislike for him to be absolute lunacy. You don't bin off a talent as good as him and particularly one that has never been badly damaged. He just hasn't progressed but the crowd don't mind him, his entrance is still over, he's taken seriously as a nearly top guy.

Perhaps Pitcos was right about the cult leader stuff having been done. I'm just keen to get him away from the spooky shit and produce a character that is real in the wrestling context. With a clear focus on winning the title and using his charisma and verbal skills to get what he wants from people - I think you could achieve that.

Like Rick I've always been a fan of Wyatt, I've said a few times on hear that he'd make a good alternative 'mankind' type babyface, he's got the energy and fire to make it work.

Character wise I'd move him into more of a grungy Raven-esq type look and character, parts are already there since the draft with the custom rockstar gear and dreadlocks, he's got a good look and fan following that he could be something unique as a main guy
