Cheapheat
Hi guys, I figure this is the best place for this question. I have heard that Jushin lyger replaced his SSP finish for the palm strike/shotai (spelling?) Due to injury. Can anyone explain how this happened? How did he get the shotai over and can anyone recommend me matches where this happened?

When he used to use the Shotei as a finisher it gets over gradually when you win matches with it. He had a tumour around 95-97 (don’t remember exactly) which is why he stopped using the SSP. The King Of Swing
Yeah he probably just kept using it until it got over. That's generally how it works.
Cheapheat
I think I didn't explain myself there. I meant was there a match where he debut his new finisher and was it storyline relevant. I wondered if there were stories or matches based around it.

New Japan don’t use storylines as they classify themselves as a sport brand and not an Entertainment brand.  Edited June 23, 2019 by TildeGuy~! Cheapheat
I think that would just mean we quibble on what storyline means. 3 on the spot. The developing Relantionship of Moxley and Umino. The possibility of Naito/Ibushi meeting in the finals and destroying each others necks. Sanada repeatedly losing to Okada. Evil not joining in the LIJ hand thing. These are all storylines as I see them.
Guest
Robbie eagles/elp tension due to elp cheating not going down well with eagles Naitos wanting two belts and starting to respect the IC title. ospreay and Shingo wanting to prove themselves against the heavyweights  theres more going on that I thought when seeing the challenge above. Guess the story side comes out more watching the backstage post match as little talking done in ring
Paid Members I Bent My Wookie Posted June 23, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted June 23, 2019 But these are all false rumours about storylines without Tildeguy confirming it.

I have a few (probably not accurate, but we'll see) Naito or Ibushi to win the G1 Shingo to have a strong tournament after a so-so start adjusting to heavyweight KENTA won't last the distance (I hope I'm wrong, but I don't know that his body will be able to keep up with the grueling demands of the tournament)
TildeGuy~!
I see Ibushi winning it this year beating Naito in the final as Ibushi/Okada and Naito/White are the main events for both last nights of the Block matches, which usually have implications for the finals. Looking forward to seeing how Ospreay gets on as well as KENTA. Naito/Moxley should be fun too.
