Paid Members IANdrewDiceClay Posted January 16, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted January 16, 2016 Get Greg Lamberts book and the 1PW book. They are both first class, and after you read one you have the need for more BritWres sleeze, so you can read that one straight after. EdgarTheSlouch
Just read Sunny's  'book'.  Dog-shit poor. Just like reading a transcript of her shoots - same stories, same quotes pretty much. Same mistakes.
kidkris
I've read the 1pw book 3 times its fantastic, the same goes for greg lambert I would love for there too be more britwrest books to be fair
WyattSheepMask
I gave up reading the guy who does the actual show reviews in the 1PW book as he just seems to hate stuff for the sake of it. The actual crux of the backstage goings on is well worth the read though
Daily Buzzard
Who is this Stuart Carapola that has about a ton of wrestling e-books on amazon?
Dazzer
Who is this Stuart Carapola that has about a ton of wrestling e-books on amazon? Â He contributes to 411mania as I have seen a few reviews from there.
TUFCfan
I see the revised 10th Anniversary edition of Death of WCW has dropped in price quite a bit on Amazon at the moment. Is it worth buying if you've read the original?
Paid Members Linus Posted March 30, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted March 30, 2016 I'd say yes. They add in some quotes from the major players and there's a brilliant new chapter, listing everything TNA did wrong.
TUFCfan
Cheers, will order a copy.
theringmaster
What is Spandex, Screw Jobs and cheap pops like? Who does it feature? Looking for some holiday reads, I'm torn between this or Daniel Bryans. On the subject of Daniels Bryans does it go into his indy career much? Does it feel honest? And is there much about how he got with Brie? (I have always been intrigued by them because they kinda seem opposites, you would have figured he would have hooked up with some indy starlet rather than a 'diva')
Ambulance Chaser
I really enjoyed Bryan's book, found it brutally honest, to the point of being a little sad at times when he talks about his Dad and concussions and seeing how much it was hurting him, especially when you look at what has happened since. He does go into the Brie stuff, talks about them getting together coming out of the storyline when they were competing for his affection. He also does cover the indies, I really loved the stories about him going to HBK's wrestling academy, the road trip to get there is hilarious. Paid Members SpursRiot2012 Posted April 25, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted April 25, 2016 Anyone recommend any good pro wrestling history books? I'm considering buying Capitol Revolution, but the reviews are a bit meh.
The Reverend
I really enjoyed the Capital Revolution book - nice and easy read. The History of the NWA book is great but very heavy going. I would recommend the 'Titan Sinking' and 'Titan Shattered' books looking at the 95/96 era of the WWF. The Death of WCW is another good one. But my favourite wrestling history books are the Memohis ones - great selection. Pick them up here: www.memphiswrestlinghistory.com
