Paid Members Bellenda Carlisle Posted October 28, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted October 28, 2019 No Mercyful Fate then, that's disappointing. Hope they play London at some point.
WyattSheepMask
Unfortunately, Mercyful Fate arn’t going to sell any extra tickets than what Bloodstock already attracts. Behemoth are on the Slipknot tour in January, which gives them some added exposure and maybe will help shift some extra Bloodstock tickets. Maybe not many, but they’ve got the opportunity. Just saw some comments that actually said “Ugh, Judas Priest again!?”. Ever since Bloodstock went outdoors, the fans begged the organisers to book Judas Priest. After 17 years, they finally got their wish when Judas Priest headlined in 2018. Now, Judas Priest are returning, and people are actually “ugh, same old headliners!”. What the fuck do people actually fucking want? Edited October 28, 2019 by WyattSheepMask
King Mal the Glorious
I dunno, I and quite a few others were considering grabbing day tickets for Mercyful Fate. Guess we'll just go catch them in Europe instead. I'm sure they'll do a London date eventually but they're not getting any younger, better safe than sorry. Paid Members Egg Shen Posted October 29, 2019 Author Paid Members Share Posted October 29, 2019 i aint no Priest fan, but they were great in '18. Im hoping the 2nd stage headliners are good too, it never felt like genuine alternative before but now it feels like thats becoming a pretty big spot in itself. WyattSheepMask
They certainly seem to be trying more with that slot. It seems to have become a spot for a band that draw a decent crowd but is more suited to being inside rather than being put on earlier and out in the sunshine Edited October 29, 2019 by WyattSheepMask

Merzbow
Fake Batushka have had to cancel their US tour, they were trying to sell out big venues and ticket sales were apparently piss poor.
King Mal the Glorious
Anyone off to Damnation tomorrow? Pretty solid lineup this year, for once I'll be spending a lot of time at the main stage!

Members SuperBacon
Reunions are cynical and the magic is always lost, but I don’t care as Rage are the greatest band of all time. Fuck yeah

Eternity, In Your Arms was one of my favourite albums whichever year it was released.
