Paid Members I Bent My Wookie Posted September 11, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted September 11, 2015 Watched Me and Earl and the Dying Girl last week after a recommendation from a friend based off its Sundance success. My film of the year so far, absolutely stunning work throughout. Probably not for everyone, falls into the Fault In Our Stars depressing story for teens narrative, but I really loved it. Â Speaking of TFIOS, saw Paper Towns the day before the film above, absolute let down considering the money and press they put into it. Cara's not such a bad actress, but a lot of the direction just fell super flat, they tried to put too much of their own spin on it too. Paid Members Scott Malbranque Posted September 25, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted September 25, 2015 (edited) Never, ever thought I'd say anything positive pertaining to anything that Sam Smith puts out, but the theme tune for Spectre is lovely. Â But this is even better. And to think a fan did this: Â Edited September 25, 2015 by Scott Malbranque
DJM
Never, ever thought I'd say anything positive pertaining to anything that Sam Smith puts out, but the theme tune for Spectre is lovely. Â But this is even better. And to think a fan did this: Â The fan made theme is good, but the Sam Smith Spectre theme I am really not sure about. Parts of it are fine (never great or anything), but when it gets to the chorus and it sounds like someone has kicked him in the balls it just sounds awful. It might grow on me the more I hear it, but it does't do much for me after a couple of listens.
Paid Members Scott Malbranque Posted September 25, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted September 25, 2015 Yeah, it does sound like somebody's jabbing the bollox clean out of him come the chorus, but it's a grower, me reckons.
WyattSheepMask
So after Ridley Scott said this week that Prometheus won't connect with Alien until maybe the third of or forth film in the series, today the title of the second Prometheus film is confirmed as 'Alien: Paradise Lost'. Go figure Edited September 25, 2015 by WyattSheepMask
Undefeated Steak
We've all seen it but just a quick heads up that The Shawshank Redemption is on ITV2 at 9:00pm tonight.
WyattSheepMask
It's on every other week on itv2, same with Jurassic Park on the weekends. If you don't catch it tonight you'll get another chance in a couple of weeks

WyattSheepMask
Yeah I saw that earlier too, looks fucking awesome. I hope that Kylo Ren is as badass as he looks
Paid Members bAzTNM#1 Posted October 19, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted October 19, 2015 You'd think Luke Skywalker would be somewhere on that poster.
Paid Members Nick Soapdish Posted October 19, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted October 19, 2015 You'd think Luke Skywalker would be somewhere on that poster. He is one of the stormtroopers  Seriously though, people strongly think Han will not survive this film (Ford wanted out after IV don't forget) so we may not have a Luke reveal until late on in the film. Or he could be playing a masked character we haven't seen yet.
Merzbow
I imagine that's the bad guy on the left? Looks an awful lot like Darth Revan, and of course it can't be them but that's pretty cool as my only interest in the series is through those old games. Rey_Piste
The guy in the mask is called Kylo Ren, we know he is played by Adam driver, but that's all that's known about him. The things I'm the most interested in is the alien next to R2D2 and who is the rebel pilot in the middle of the poster.
