I opened a Twitter account years ago but never really used it. I now want to follow some accounts but not have my followers notified of this. They're not porn accounts, though I realise it sounds like that. Is there any way of doing this?

EDL then is it?

Is it the the UKFF twitter account? They won't be notified of it but they'll be able to see if they go a bit mental and decide to start searching through the accounts you follow.

Twitter isn't like Facebook where If you like something it shows up on everyones feed that you've liked it and thus your feed becomes clogged with irrelevant posts because a friend has liked something

They wont know you've started following someone unless as pointed out above they search through your following list

Oh, that's fine then. I was going to use it to follow a load of career related Twitter accounts and didn't want followers to suddenly have me pop up on Twitter out of nowhere after five years with their feed being clogged up with me following accounts. I also like my privacy.

It's getting that way, though, with the insertion of random tweets into your news feed that people you follow have liked. This, coupled with "While you were away..." has become very annoying, as I just want to read everything I've asked to see in chronological order, like a sane human being.

So your followers might see when you've liked someone else's tweet. But their feeds and notifications won't be interrupted with news of who you've started following. There is, however, a part of the page that suggests people to follow, with a reason for each one (eg: "Sphinx follows"). Doesn't sound like this will be a problem for your purposes though.

I'm having a crisis of conscience of sorts. A guy I know (a friend of my best mate) recently went to Thailand with his girlfriend and her family. Whilst he was there (and unbeknownst to his girlfriend) he slept with a prostitute and now has chlamydia. He has passed this on to his girlfriend and also someone else he's sleeping with (yeah, he's a fucking class A guy). He knows he has passed it on because he got cleared and then caught it again off of one of them. He refuses to tell either of them, so these girls have this disease and are completely unaware of it. From what I understand, for women if it isn't treated then this can have severe long term effects on their reproductive system.

I only know this because my best mate told me. I want to do something about it but I don't know the best way to do it. I only know the name of one of the girls, and it seems she has deleted her Facebook account. I want to do it anonymously so as not to get my mate into any bother.

As I said, I know one of the girls names and the area she lives in. Is it possible to find out which doctors surgery she attends to let her doctor know so he/she can call her in?

If You did pass the Tip on to the Docs and they called her up to tell her and get her sorted, wouldn't Your Mate get into some bother anyway

Assuming she isn't sleeping around as well she will surely ask him about it and advise him to get checked as well and the truth may well come out that way anyway

And wouldn't it be a bit odd to suddenly get a call from the clinic saying they've been advised you may have this disease can you please come In, surely that will raise all sorts of flags and questions she will have to ask?

Not sure what more you can do though then try and get him to confess to both girls, he can't just leave it can he otherwise he is likely going to keep getting it himself over and over again.
