Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted June 8, 2016 Moderators Share Posted June 8, 2016 Cheers Edgar - Vodafone have been really good and sorted it all out really swiftly (I still haven't even fucking heard back from O2's fraud team). They've added a bunch of security to my account, including paying for a CIFAS subscription for me, which is nice.
Paid Members Carbomb Posted June 8, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted June 8, 2016 "Turned up missing" annoys me. As in "Dave's car keys turned up missing". If something turns up, it's not bastard missing. YES. Thank you; I was starting to think I was the only one who thinks this.
Ladiesman345
For a total novice how difficult is it to wallpaper?
MungoChutney
It requires a level of dexterity that I don't possess. I've tried it on a few occasions but just can't get the hang of it.

Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted June 10, 2016 Moderators Share Posted June 10, 2016 Doesn't 'practice makes perfect' in this case entail doing some really shitty wallpapering in your house?
Paid Members BigJag Posted June 10, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted June 10, 2016 You'd have to be completely inept to do that. It obviously won't be perfect the first time.
Moderators PowerButchi Posted June 10, 2016 Moderators Share Posted June 10, 2016 Doesn't 'practice makes perfect' in this case entail doing some really shitty wallpapering in your house? Â Essentially, yes. Just get out the paint 'n' rollers.
Ladiesman345
The wallpaper that was up had been painted over a few times, it looked dreadful. It took me about six hours to strip the walls it was so fucking sticky! Â I have a lot of rolls of paper so I can afford to fuck it up, although to be honest it sounds like a job I'd be shite at. My fingers are unresponsive and I'm impatient as fuck.
King Pitcos
I can be of no help. Â But I also have an important question: why do Americans say "on accident" instead of "by accident"? Calm down, they're not doing it by purpose.

The Maestro
Don't wallpaper, just paint. The whole thing is a pain in the ballsack and it just makes it harder to redecorate in the future.
Steve Justice
Completely agree with that. I'm pretty good at wallpapering and decorating in general, but I fucking hate doing it. Â Definitely save yourself the aggro for now and for future and paint the walls.
Paid Members BigJag Posted June 11, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted June 11, 2016 You'll need to ensure your walls are sound. Otherwise paint will show up all the imperfections.
Ladiesman345
Thanks for the advice, everybody , the walls are in pretty good nick, so im just going to paint them. It's taken an age to strip the place as the paper has seemingly been fucking superglued on!
