Looking to purcase the bird im seeing a TV streaming box for her birthday. She isn't particularly fussy so i was gonna go for a now tv box with an entertainment pass. Shes basically running basic freeview at the moment so shes pretty bare bones.

Has anyone run an amazon firestick with kodi though? A few people have told me they are the shit but ive heard others say the actual streams are unreliable. Anyone had any experience with one? I dont wanna buy if its gonna have a tendency to crash on her.

Don't have a Firestick but have an Android TV box running Kodi and a build. A few of the staples seem to have stopped operating but it still works pretty well for what I use it for (football, TV shows). However, if she's not particularly tech savvy and isn't going to want to be messing about trying a few different streams before she finds one that works, I'd get her the Now TV box.

Yeah, you need a decent bit of technical knowledge to get an Android Box working.

You should get her a Roku box. Now TV doesn't allow you to use Netflix. Roku looks exactly the same as a Now TV box, except the Now TV box is white. I've got an old Roku box though. You can use Netflix and now Amazon Prime Video through that, as well as the Network. Now TV you're basically stuck with that and nothing.

ADDED: On Roku, you can also use Now TV.

Right, has anybody had anything similar happen to them with eBay?  I sold my laptop on there last week and sent it off using my work's courier service.  I haven't heard anything from the buyer since, but the tracking details show it was delivered on the 17th February.  Today a completely different laptop has been delivered to my work from the address I sent my laptop to.  Again, absolutely no communication from the buyer, just this beaten up laptop which has shown up out of the blue, no charger and not wrapped in bubble wrap or anything.  At first I was afraid to switch it on in case it would blow up or be filled with child porn or something, but I gave it a go anyway and the battery is completely dead.

I feel like I'm being scammed or something, but I can't figure out how.  Or maybe the buyer doesn't quite know how eBay works and thinks it's a swap service.  Any ideas?

I learned from a VHS by a guy called Jon Gindick. Took about 45 minutes to go from not being able to play a single note to being able to bluff about 30 seconds worth of jamming.

He's got plenty of videos on YouTube so I'd recommend starting with him.
