on the Scott Mills thing, it does seem to be genuinely a bit out of nowhere. There's none of the usual smug preening from people who "always knew", and once you brush aside the point-scoring from people who already think that anyone at the BBC is a communist paedophile, there's very little to go on. All very odd.

The Mirror are saying it relates to a historic complaint about a relationship more than ten years ago - so before he was with his husband. "Personal conduct" suggests something outside of work, I'd expect a full Schofield would be "misconduct".

6 has really gone down the shitter for me over the last few years. Huw Stephens is breathtakingly dull in the drive time slot, and Craig Charles doing the Craig Charles laugh at his own jokes grates after about .5 of a second.

Losing Mary-Anne Hobbes who was the only daytime presenter consistently playing anything at all challenging has been a shame too. Nick Grimshaw is a radio presenter and he's there too.

And to top it off, Iggy Confidential is now 'on hiatus for a year.' Fucking hell, tempting fate a bit there given his age and lifestyle choices.

I mean it must be pretty bad and lots of evidence behind it, he was on the radio less than a week ago. No way could a full investigation have happened, he's been told to leave or it get's worse if there is an investigation where they find more stuff. I imagine we will hear very little about why too.

As its BBC, surely there will have to be a thorough investigation either way now?

In our work we listen to Radio 2 most of the time. Vernon Kay is the shits, as is Vine. Trevor Nelson is the best of a bad bunch. It usually ends with Sara Cox, whose also awful these days.

Even the weekend stuff with Rylan, Paddy Bloody Mcguiness, and Romesh is all blank, cookie cutter rubbish.

The Welsh amongst us would all surely say they had a soft spot for Jagger and Woodie. Bumping them off the mornings for Amanda Holden was sacrilege.

Not necessarily, particularly if it relates to ‘personal conduct’ (ie. outside the workplace).

My radio regime is whatever station has Jordan North, Sian Wellby and Chris ‘we weren’t really friends’ Stark enforced on the works radio. Probably Talk Shite until Chris Moyles fucks off Radio X for the day on the works van and Radio Two in the car when my Mrs isn’t trying to listen to dance music.

Chris Moyles should have been fucked off years ago, can’t believe he come through metoo unscathed. Really thought he was the type of hiding in plain sight wrongun.

Very much this. I still have it on in the background while I WFH but losing Mary-Anne Hobbs and Sean Keaveney before that but it feels much more sterile and less radioey if that makes sense. I tend to enjoy Riley and Coe in the evenings and Radclifffe and Maconie on weekend mornings as the former feels like it has more of a comminiy about it and the latter is a lot more light hearted and daft. I like programmes to have a bit more personality to it so the 5live football build up on a Saturday with Mark Chapman is another winner for me.

Apparently some (no idea who!) love Liza Tarbuck but to me she's one of the worst on the Nation's Favourite too.

You know who from the last time you said you didn't like Liza Tarbuck on here. I'd say you're comfortably in the minority on her!

I used to be a big 6Music listener but I'm done with that now. Craig Charles is dreadful and Nick Grimshaw is a poor man's George Lamb.

Now the only live radio I listen to involves live sport and like Carbomb I listen to a lot of stuff on BBC Sounds. Fighting Talk, Strong Message Here, The Unbelievable Truth, Mark Steel's in Town, No Such Thing As A Fish, I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue, and The News Quiz to name but a few.

Strong Message Here is particularly good. Armando Iannucci has been a big part of my comedy watching and listening life so its good to hear him weekly. Plus you get Stuart Lee as the guest every couple of weeks.

I also like Lisa Tarbuck, my mum used to be a huge Lisa Tarbuck fan but since she stamped on the little man on Taskmaster she hates her.

Honestly, if he’d moved on to television or even Radio 2, I can’t imagine his older comments wouldn’t have come back to haunt him - calling Nicola Roberts the ‘ugly one’ in Girls Aloud, offering to take the virginity of Charlotte Church on her 16th birthday, that kinda thing. Maybe not ‘me too’-worthy, but certainly nasty and gross.
