Twin Peaks - Hawk (there are loads of superb minor characters, but Hawk's definitely one of the best). One of the coolest characters on screen. Paid Members I Bent My Wookie Posted January 5 Paid Members Posted January 5 I was thinking about this some more and I think I absolutely love both Snuffles and Mr Meeseeks from Rick and Morty more than any other character from that show. For some of its flaws, it really did just create some absolutely wild one episode characters that were quotable, in some cases insane but also weirdly completely realistic at points as well. You do just know if Dog's could become more self reliant and as intellectual as humans they would want to inslave humanity for a lifetime of ball chopping, stupid name giving, obedience making torture for them. Mr Meeseeks also just really does have an existential dread of trying to help people and the pain when you can't that makes you then need help yourself but does it in a way that you can't help but laugh at. I may need to go back and watch the entire show again. That'll be a good use of a week. Quote

Mike from the nags head in Fools and Horses, he was pretty much the only straight character in the whole show, he was involved in so many classic gags. Father Ted was stock full of great minor characters, Father Dick Bryne was probably my favourite, i love he was essentially Father Ted but actually a winner (and not a loser like Ted) and then also Father Larry Duff, every scene he was in was hilarious. Both excellent choices - Morn in particular, given the deliberate restraints the writers' have placed on themselves to write no lines for him, nor have him actually do anything in any stories about him. Dukat is one of TV's greatest villains - improving his complexity by giving him a bit of a face run before plunging him into the depths of ultimate heeldom was a bit of unintended genius. From what I understand, they didn't intend to make him a villain in the end originally, until they realised that his redemption was a bit of a dead-end. Quote

Not sure about the one who played Fr. Johnson, but the actors who played Cyril and Dick were the first choice for Ted & Dougal, which is why they created Rugged Island as a little tribute. Wish they'd done a bit more with those characters. Without Googling, they might only show up two or three times in the whole run. Lissa Evans, a showrunner on Ted, wrote a book a few years ago about producing the show. It's a decent read. Echoing the love earlier for Uncle Jack from IASIP. An outrageous creation. He's no Rickety Cricket though. From respected priest to a broken crackhead, his plight has been a joy to watch over nearly twenty years now (Jesus). Edited January 5 by Wretch Quote

Along with Mike I also liked Sid as well. Also in Father Ted the monotone one in 'Irelands largest lingerie department'. Classic episode. Quote
