There have been times this year where I’ve thought about giving an episode of WWE another go because it’s just there on Netflix. Then LA Knight turns up, or The Miz, or Seth Rollins, and I always think “life’s too short for this” and switch off.

I like Roderick Strong more than some, but he’s one of a handful of AEW people that I just zone out while watching, even when I’m actively trying to pay attention. The others are mainly lower card guys who turn up semi-regularly on Collision so it’s not usually too bad, but when The Kingdom was a featured act…

I watched virtually every single episode of NXT from it's original hokey format all the way through until these guys started stinking up the show. They turned me off NXT completely for a good few years. They weren't alone in that, Gargano and Ciampa contributed, but it took years for their stink on the product to wash away.

I barely watch it at all these days, because there's just too many guys like Cole that I just can't stand to watch over there now. I own probably 3 wrestling t-shirts, one of which is a DIY shirt from their original NXT run, so that shows how much I loved them. They were fantastic. 

I would happily never see either of them wrestle ever again.

Moxley's great, some of you lads are on glue. I do love how much I agree with this post and how much I disagree with the last bit. Good stuff. Justice for Mox.

Can't recall TK ever been on screen that much but he's definitely as you describe. Had the "pleasure" of hearing him cut a live promo at the Dynamite taping and I do love his enthusiasm and sense of genuine gratitude that people pay and travel to watch the shows and he's still completely uncomfortable to be in the presence of as he yells into the void like Fulham's stadium announcer.

There's been some cracking shouts in this thread. Iron Savages/Jacked Jameson, Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt would've all been my answers too in the past. Orton and Wyatt were the poster boys for WWE not changing in about 10 years, just dull on every level. And Iron Savages were just absolutely rotten.

10 years ago my answer would've been Kane, just the absolute worst.

It'll be an unpopular one this but I can't watch anything John Cena does, heel or face, without cringing. He's just always been an unbearably over the top pantomime wrestler to me to the point I find it difficult to sit through his stuff.

Serpentico is fucking crap and just the sight of that tea towel hanging out inbetween his legs makes me feel abit nauseous.

I didn't really consider old wrestling for this. IRS and Dino Bravo would be top of my all-time list. Anyone I thought was absolutely rubbish as a kid or in my early teens had to be really fucking bad because I liked everyone and everything.

Can't have Disco Inferno slander. That was a great gimmick. Proper stupid, brilliant wrestling nonsense. Up until late 1999 when everything was thrown up in the air and became insufferable.

Glenn Gilberti, as a gimmick as "himself" in TNA was fucking dreadful.

Contemporary: LA Knight. His matches aren’t a patch on any of his contemporaries around his spot. I get he cut a great promo about shoes 6 years ago in NWA but has he actually cut a decent one since? Or had one engaging angle? He’s just there being fucking annoying.

 

Shane Douglas is my all timer though. Maybe ok in ECW but fuck me anytime he’s popped up anywhere else he’s tedious as shit.

Shane was totally exposed during the Pitbull feud in ECW imo, it fell on it's arse and proved that people only cared about him when he was against actual stars in the company. Spent far too long at the top and with the title, he was fine for 1994 but after that? Nah.

Plus all that time and he never had a fire feud like Sandman/Dreamer/Raven or Taz vs Sabu and many others.

Definitely the hardest for me to process as well. I wonder if some of it is selective memory because Death Riders Mox is thread worthy for me. Cyrus would have been leading him and the rest out to job out the New Midnight Express in February 1998. 

Mox at his best, though? The Mox who had that sit down interview with Michael Cole when it looked - for one brief shining moment - like he could have gone over Triple H at Roadblock? And when that didn't happen looked like he might have had a Bret/Austin I Quit angle with Brock at WrestleMania? The Mox who came back with babyface fire and told a guy in the crowd to get fucked after coming out of rehab? 

Shut the front door. I can't reconcile him to being a career 'I can't even watch you'.

If we're doing retro picks, then The World's Sexiest Man Jason. I am a mark for almost anyone who ever came through the doors of ECW, particularly in 1998-2000, and I love Heyman booking every heel to have a massive entourage, but Jason was fucking terrible and nobody has ever more comprehensively stolen a living - in fact, the only saving grace is that Paul E probably never actually paid the cunt.

I can understand not being a fan of Mox to a degree and understand how he can put people off but thinking he's actively bad is fairly insane to me - he's been in more great matches, promos and angles than the vast majority of wrestlers ever will. 

Wrestlers who turn me off is a long list - mostly they are just the obvious WWE shitarses (Rollins, The Miz etc), generic muscle dudes or the NXT vanilla midgets type (Adam Cole, Brian Pillman Jnr).

One person in particular though is Stephanie McMahon. I can't stand her. Her horrible grating voice, weird constant scowl/smile face, her terrible instincts as a heel performer, her insistence on always being dominant no matter what. She was pretty decent back in 2000 but anything Authority angle onwards I'd put up there easily with some of the worst and most consistently damaging TV they have ever put out.
