We beat them twice. That won't matter. They're a different team now. Plus, they've scouted us from the top of a tree near our training ground.

Stand on the Humber bridge, I'll stand on the Itchen bridge and we'll see if we can spy on each other.

Are you going to Wembley Rick?

Yeah, booked the train on Monday. Brother is flying in from Wisconsin for the weekend and it's on my birthday so happy days all round. Until you see me crying on Wembley Way.

If you stick around for the following day, you can see me crying on Tottenham High Road.

And yet, it's way better than the reality:

@RedTwoster a Norwich legend, is Jens Berthel Askou. Well, I say legend... he was alright during the season we had in League 1 then got immediately binned off. He did kick the ball onto the roof of the highest stand on one of his first appearances though, which somehow earned him cult status.

It's a tough one to get the right call on really. Allegedly there's a full paper trail that shows Southampton have been spying on other teams throughout the season too, and while I'm not exactly sure how much help one lad filming on his phone could really be, it raises the question of if Southampton would be where they are now without it, which isn't the narrative you want going into a playoff final.

Boro's loss was their own undoing. They never put the first game to bed and then were walking corpses for most the second half of the 2nd leg. I don't think there's much glory in Boro getting the results reversed and if they got promoted off the back of it there'd be a big fat asterisk next to it. I think though just as a clear cut warning for other teams, kicking Southampton out of the playoffs is probably the right call. A fine means nothing, it needs to be made clear that you can't just cheat your way to a promotion.

And that's the crux really isn't it? Allegedly. Look, it's daft, it's really, really daft but Boro have absolutely lost their heads.

The story has changed so much that they just haven't helped themselves and they've clearly been feeding information and images to the Mail while the investigation has been going on, which is pathetic. The media and Boro have done an insane sell job on one lad on his phone.

I bloody love it though. Allegedly the lad bought a coffee with his card at the hotel and now you've got Saints fans asking whether Gibson, Boro and the Mail have broken GDPR laws. Just amazing. This is PROPER football.

And everyone's at it aren't they? Let's be honest. I used to go to Chelseas training ground for work loads and the most I ever saw was John Terry putting 5 sugars in his tea.

As sloppy as it all is, it’s absolutely in Boro’s best interest to make as big a deal of this as possible because other than the possibility the spying paid off and is the reason they lost (doubtful) there’s no way they can lose for doing so. At best they get Southampton sacked off and take their place in the final, and at worst it could be like when they had a spat with Derby and got a few million out of them for their troubles.
The harder they go in on Southampton, the bigger the reward for them. It would be daft not to.

Yeah I really don't blame them, but it's still absolutely pathetic. It's more the media furore to be honest.

If it is an expulsion I don't think Boro deserve to be in the final. Just give it to Rick and Hull.

Edit: I also like that other clubs have "evidence" Could they not have raised the complaints at the time? Bit suspect that.

That was annoying. Still, at least it's still Hearts' to lose.

99th minute penalty, 10 minutes earlier I was crushed.

I don’t think that was a penalty, if Hearts don’t win the league I’ll genuinely feel cheated. And I don’t think they will. I’d say Saturday can’t come soon enough, but I’m dreading it. It’s potentially the day the bubble bursts.

Celtic should have had a penalty in the first half, Ward wipes out Daizen. Cheated by one decision, leagues aren't won by one decision.

They absolutely can be, particularly when there’s so little in it - but in this case you can point to two, the penalty Hearts themselves should have had against Motherwell. Honestly, I feel like they’ve already lost the league!
