Is this a thing? As far as I can tell, the majority of people are enjoying Orton lately and there's no uprising for Sami or anything. The Bryan comparison seems a bit odd. 

Maybe I'm missing it somewhere but the crowds always seem into Randy and it doesn't feel like something that's being booked against the fans wishes.

Discussion? I mean it’s a forum where people discuss wrestling. At the time I posted it, most hadn’t. And all I said was what I had seen elsewhere and stated I disagreed with that certain view. I didn’t tell anyone there opinion was wrong, because it’s subjective, but I didn’t, and still don’t think it’s the most shocking turn in the history of wrestling. Some absolutely do, and some of them watched Hogan do it in real time, and lots of others probably weren’t even born when it did. That’s the most shocking one to me because it was the first time the biggest baby face in wrestling had turned heel. Most wouldn’t even have known Hogan had been a heel pre WWF. 

It’s smart, it’s probably the reaction they were hoping Rock and Cody got the week before as most of the discussion has been extremely positive, and I thought Cena did a good job. I still thought it was coming because he never left the ring and there was no reason for him to be in there UNLESS he was to get involved. Maybe the tone come across snarky, which was my bad, but not the intention, but I was just expressing my opinion. 

@DavidB6937 I am not a fan of Orton. Never have. Always found him boring in ring even if his promos or character has been interesting. But you’re spot on. The crowds love him and I think they are booking him right even if I don’t like it.

I thought it was obvious I’m speaking more for myself than anyone else.

I think Sami is the guy. I think he’s the main reason for this boom. I think everyone forgets how utterly dog shit The Bloodline was before he got on board. The new 2K game is based around The Bloodline Saga, isn’t it? I bet the first half of it doesn’t accurately recreate the YEARS of Roman aimlessly mumbling backstage.

It’s not the end of the World or anything, it’s just depressing seeing Orton get the focus over someone so clearly under-utilised. That’s where I’m reminded of Bryan. And sure, the people will cheer Orton regardless.

But you can’t trust people, Jeremy!

On Sami/KO, they definitely fell victim to the final segment and the fact they couldn't bleed. What made it even weirder was how the commentators called out the ref's gloves early on, almost drawing attention to the fact it was going to be a blood fest... and then it just wasn't.

But, they were hamstrung worst by an absolutely dogshit crowd. Completely flat throughout, so the intense pauses in action never felt like that, they just felt like big empty silences where nothing was happening. Big moves didn't feel exciting, they felt like desperate attempts to get some life out of the crowd.

On three separate occasions Wade Barrett had to try and explain the shit atmosphere as the crowd being 'stunned', despite that clearly not being the case as within seconds of him saying it a handful would chant for tables or something.

Diabolical. Never go to Canada again.

So yeah, The Rock fucked them, and the crowd did... and actually the commentators did a bit too. They kept missing stuff, in particular Sami smiling at KO down the stretch. Not mentioning it was so weird, and had you questioning whether Sami had accidentally corpsed at Kevin farting or something.

They tried their best but no, too many things working against them on the night. And then in the end KO cocked up the canvas powerbomb, so all Sami could do to cover for it was pretend he'd been fighting back... despite I'm fairly sure he was supposed to be playing dead by that point.

Shame. Hopefully Orton decides against Mania and they can re run it.

I’d have thought Paul/Styles was the plan if it wasn’t for the fact they’ve had more than one Breakker/Styles confrontation at this stage. I can’t think of where he fits into the card, but with Judgement Day seeking a new member, and Balor being at odds with the rest of the group, it seems possible. He’s likely to feud with whoever does end up with them, although it might be more of a ‘slow burn’ story than a Wrestlemania one.

Slight negative, but Cody's 'Go fuck yourself' sounded less defiant and more someone giddy they could say the f-word out loud in a public setting. Still terrific, but he's not Father Christian when it comes to delivering naughty swears.

I'm more curious to see how the Wrestlemania card ends up than the quality of the show itself.

What’s really sad, is how now you’ve got a heel Cena steaming into Mania to challenge Cody, and we can speculate as to if he wins whether it would be Punk or Roman coming after him next… while none of us give much of a toss about the other belt. They’ve really screwed up the latest go at “two titles,” it’s no wonder Jey chose Gunther is it? Silver Medal indeed.

I'm going to find it hard to take Cena seriously as a heel with that stupid floppy barnet of his. Get the crewcut back - at least it'll tone down the shine of his bald spot. Is it just me or is he getting close to Sheamus levels of pale at the minute? It's Wrestlemania season, John! Get yourself on the sun bed!

Problem is he's still filming films so I'd imagine his hair and even his "tan" is more controlled by that than what would look better with him wrestling.

As mentioned above hopefully we get some pre tapes sent in or whatever as as it is he's only scheduled for 3 RAWs before WrestleMania and we'll see after.

See I saw it more as two guys that would generally be super over in that environment almost neutralising each other and so the crowd weren't commiting one way or another.

Its not like KO hasn't had his share of support in recent times, even against Cody. Funnily enough it might have been the absolute worst place to run that match in hindsight. They probably could've got a more pro Sami crowd somewhere else, especially if they'd had a quick segment with KO running down wherever they were or something.

Hard to know really. Probably a combination of everything really unfortunately.
