Yeah he has to win, you then have the rest of the year with a corporate Cena reign of terror, then he can drop the belt in his final match in December back to Cody, Punk or someone else if they get over as baby face as much as them two before then.

I see no issue with holding this opinion, be it beef or Bull.

I don't care for him, but if he is going to be all over the TV I'd rather it end in something meaningful as opposed to him just wofting about pointing at his goosebumps.

Fair play but a John Cena heel turn seems pretty meaningful to me kidder.

To be honest I'm surprised I made it past Jade Cargill. She looked incredible. I'd get beaten up by her any day.

I actually enjoyed the show as a whole although I did skip the Nia match and most of the entrances so it was a much quicker event.

Women put in a good shift in the opener and the men's match came together well with some nice crossover interactions and obviously the Punk/Cena stuff was sweet.

KO/Sami was decent i thought although think the crowd struggled with who to support, unlike Sami/Roman which was a much hotter crowd. Nice return for Randy and I loved all the RKOs and the threatened punt. Although I'll be sad if there's nothing for Sami at Mania. Definitely deserves something.

But yeah almost feels like nothing else matters when you've got that ending.

Short of an injury making it impossible, this surely has to happen now. Heel Cena vs Punk would be blockbuster. And - I can’t believe I’m saying this - heel Cena vs Orton would also be massive. 

I’m absolutely buzzing after that show - the last few years have really shown me why it’s so bloody great to be a wrestling fan. My only two complaints right now are that the theme songs are weak, and that AEW keeps running its big shows on Sundays. And if that’s all I have to moan about, wrestling (for me, at least) is in a pretty brilliant place.

What a way to end the show. I never saw that coming, but two of the biggest megastars ever in the business joining up together, ehqt a visualisation. Cody Rhodes lucked out, to think a few years ago he was slumming it elsewhere with a bunch of over paid indy softies and now he comes back to win the Rumble twice, interact with The Rock, main event Wrestlemania both nights, end the legendary title reign of Roman Reigns, fast forward to this year and getting to work with The Rock again and now main event a third successive Wrestlemania against a heel John Cena in his final year in the business going for a record 17th world title, absolutely incredible. I can't wait for to build up leading into Rhodes vs. Cena at Wrestlemania for the title and seeing what else The Rock brings to our screens, but I know one thing for sure is that it will be electrifying.

With the surprise Rumble outcome and now this, that's two massive shows in a row with a shocking ending that makes you wanna see where they go with it. If I could be bothered finding that thread about what you desire in your wrestling, that is it for me!

When the video package started for the main event and I realised Cody/Rock would be after it, I realised that the winner would be in there with them, and someone was gonna side with The Rock. But I kept staring at goofy Cena and was like "Nahhhhh, they won't!"

Not sure if joking or not but Cody worked his arse off when he left, made himself valuable and someone WWE wanted again. Nothing about what has happened to Cody has been luck.

Loads of wrestlers worked hard, but to where he was a few years ago to be where he been for the last couple of years is a fantastic achievement from Rhodes. He definitely has earnt and worked for it, but to still make it where he has at the level and stay there you need to have some luck on your side.

It's not an end though, is it? 

The Rock's story here is going to end with him as a valet, possibly interfering on behalf of Cena.

I personally don't really care for that. I'm not just grateful to him for showing up.

I've already said I'm buzzing for a Cena heel run, especially if Rock isn't around that much and we get to see heel Cena spread his wings.

I think he has to. The Ketamine build for Wrestlemania (Wrestleketia? Kestlemania? Kestlemania.) means that the "John Cena Farewell Tour" now feels very weird, but rather than spending a year chasing the belt, he surely wins the belt and defends it until he drops it to a new star that needs the rub like CM Punk or Roman Reigns, and both feuds, right now, feel scorching hot. Cody winning surely defeats the whole purpose of the new Cena character, and it's not like there's tonnes for Cody to do, other than Punk or Reigns again, and you can do those any other year. Corporate Cena's got some legs, for sure.

As for the turn itself, I thought it was fairly clear that whoever won the Chamber was aligning themselves with the Rock, and when Cena was still in the ring for this whole thing it was obvious it was him - especially after the heelish opportunism with Punk - and that's why it was so good. You're supposed to be sitting there going "they're not going to turn Cena, are they? No, there must be something else" and when they actually do it there's a moment of shock that they've actually done it. If it had been Punk, or Rollins, standing there, everyone watching would have been sitting waiting for the turn, because it was incredibly obvious in the actual build, but because it was Cena you had that thought saying "yeah but Cena won't turn heel". Magic stuff, and comparisons with Hogan and Austin are apt.

I'm no fan of aew but indie softies? Overpaid? Have a day off. The reason WWE are by, the reason Cena could even turn heel was because of AEW
