Moxley promised us a reset back in November. Bet he's looking back now and thinking "I told you so", as if the Death Riders were deliberately terrible for months.

Bloody hell, that was one of the most engrossing and compelling backstage segments I've ever seen. Bloody brilliant.

It was only a small thing, but Swerve being typically defiant and brash until Hangman mentioned his son is still scared of him, at which point he immediately seemed to drop his guard and you saw the glimpse of regret on his face - just a great little touch.

It was a show where I was simultaneously welling up and had goosebumps at a locker room conversation, then half hour later was calling Tony Khan a dickhead for booking the Boom lads again. Never change, AEW.

To be fair to Mox, they were only shit for the few months he was feuding with Edge. Thought they were decent at the end of 2024, and they've been great since he started his feud with Swerve.

I blame COPE.

Have AEW actually signed Gabe Kidd, or is he still technically a New Japan wrestler?

I can’t decide what I think of him - he’s very good in ring, but there’s also something missing there and I can’t put my finger on what, exactly.

The Swerve/Hangman segment was superb, although I do wish they’d do done it on Dynamite purely so that more people would see it. Doesn’t take away from its greatness though. One of the segments of the year for me.

Moxley has been a great heel in 2025 - I often forget he’s World champion though, given that the belt isn’t on show. I think, on reflection, hiding the belt away was the wrong decision even though I understand the logic in it. But that’s a minor point - he’s doing great work right now, and would be a very justifiable choice for ‘best heel’ in the 2025 UKFF Awards. I hope he’s nominated at least, even if he turns before the end of the year.

I continue to find Adam Cole very watchable, and his stable very unwatchable. I do think there’s something more to the guy than I once did, though.

Seeing Harley Cameron in that ad made me sad - she’s being seriously underutilised at the moment and I hope she’s more prominent post-All In.

This promo deserves some love too, IMO:

This one side of the ad break, Hangman & Swerve on the other. Magic.

Still NJPW. About to go off for the G1. With Forbidden Door in August on the heels of the G1 they've got to build some people up. They're not going to be able to do the half-hearted few weeks of appearances in quite the same way.

Yeah this was great. My sister ADORES Mark Briscoe, she says for some reason he reminds her of Eddie Hitler from Bottom, this goofy cartoon man who is also capable of being a complete fucking nutter. I'd love to see this MJF/Briscoe feud carry on a bit. Give them a dog collar match and really let them go for it.

She's currently on the injured list, I believe.

I know there's a lot of wrestling this week but the two 8 person tag matches on Collision this week were fucking great and well worth seeking out if you haven't seen them.

AEW never really do bait and switches like that, so I suspect it will just be a match, which feels like a bad choice. Hangman and Moxley shouldn't be wrestling so soon after their match, let alone against each other.

Though they have said that a Hangman promo is opening the show, so I wonder if that bleeds directly into this match and it's out of the way early as a bit of a schmozz leading into whatever happens next.

I don't know if they're running against something else on TV that means they feel the need to put the big stars in matches tonight, but there should really be a Hangman promo, a "what's next for the Death Riders?" segment, and a "state of the Trios titles after Samoa Joe's injury" segment, rather than smashing them all into one match.

Isn't Blood and Guts soon? Deathriders vs. Team AEW does feel a bit played at the moment (although if they get Darby, Danielson and maybe Kingston involved it could feel fresher) but I don't see anything else they could put in that slot without seriously overplaying the "It's blood and guts season, lets start allying the babyfaces and heels for the flimsiest possible reasons"

I’ve long hated Blood and Guts (and war games type matches in general), but if they’re going to do it, to be fair, that might be the logical way to bring the Death Riders story to an end. They lose, with a stipulation of them breaking up if they’re defeated. Or something like that. I wouldn’t be against the stable continuing in some form, with weasley Wheeler Yuta taking the reins as leader, and babyface  relentlessly pursuing a match with him. Watching him get the living shit beaten into him by Moxley would be very satisfying.

Saw someone elsewhere complaining about Mox & Hangman wrestling already after that match. I think both character are well-established enough that they absolutely would get back in the ring 4 days after an absolute battering. I also have faith that the whole presentation will sell what they've been through and work off it.

I kinda hoped All In would be the end of the Death Riders for a bit but thinking about it all, I agree with the previous posts - there's going to be a big match with Hangman, Danielson, Swerve, Darby and Ospreay taking them on in some sort of definitive outcome and probably in a blood and guts match. Which sounds fucking great on paper.
