That FTR/Garcia/McGuinness segment on Collision was really good. Got me really hyped for the match on Sunday. Daddy Magic shot a look at Garcia at one point thought when Garcia said he would "fight for Daddy Magic" which has immediately put a Daddy Magic heel turn in my head. I hope not though.

I didn't watch the rest of the show because the card is pretty meaningless and life is too short. I'll probably check out the highlights on YouTube.

Great Dynamite. The Hangman/Osprey promo was enough to get my wife interested in the match.

Bang average, at best, Collision. Cole and Mone both put on good matches, but I couldn't give a toss about the characters (I may have mentioned on occasion...). It's not heel heat if I walk into another room.

What was the point of the beers during the Osprey/Page promo? I'm sure I wasn't the only one who was expecting one of the bottles to be wrapped around the others head by the end. Has Tony never heard of Chekhov's Gun or something?

It was a goodwill gesture. Will was saying we can have a beer together before and after the fight if we play by the rules and you don't act like the lunatic you have been for the past year and then whoever wins they can have each others back when they face Mox/the Death Riders after.

It was such a cracking promo from both that I loved when Will was getting riled up by Hangman thinking he deserved it more and mentioning his own doubts but lead to him then saying but don't you underestimate me I'm pretty fucking good at this whole wrestling thing. Both of them keeping the crowd on side was brilliant too. One of the best face vs face promo's I've ever seen.

I thought it was nice as well to see a prop not wrapped around someones head for a change tbh. Like when you have a contract signing without someone going through the table.

Been busy with 1st week in a new job so only just got round to Dynamite, used the free code as well so 3 months AEW Plus helped stream straight to my telly. What an amazing promo to open the show though, fuck me I know I've said how great Hangman is and how he commands your attention, but this was top tier. How he changes tone, volume, his expressions is just amazing. The part about his kid looking up at his dad just staring out of the window, how his wife pitys him and he needs to win so she can look at the man she fell I love with.

Nearly moved me to tears and not ashamed to say it, brilliant work by both men and rightly deserves the main event.

Oh and Joe just mugging off the Young Bucks and launching trash cans at em was my 2nd favourite moment of the show. Be watching DON Spoiler free on the bank Holiday with couple of mates and can't wait tbf.

And if Eddie's music hits then I'm gonna give @Supremo a run for his money with my scream!!!

Honestly this weeks Collision was pretty rubbish, imo.

Filled with acts I either don't care about or I'm tired of. Opening segment and Toni Storm promo, were the only real highlights, for me.

The Don Callis Family, seriously needs to fuck off.

Yeah, I can’t stand Don Callis. He’s quite possibly my least favourite non-wrestler ever.

If you hate the Don Callis Family now, when they’re the best they’ve ever been, I can’t comprehend how you continued watching when they were at their worst a year or two ago.

I like the wrestlers - but I don’t think any of them are any better or worse off for their association with Callis himself. They don’t really need him, and for me he adds absolutely nothing to their act. I don’t hate the stable, I just think Callis himself is crap. But AEW is an ensemble cast, he’s not and never has been prominent enough for his awfulness to put me off watching.

I remember Dan Lambert. Don Callis is Bobby Heenan compared to him.

I thought Lambert was decent at first, but he should never have been added to the Men of the Year act, and the stuff with Jericho was painful. But Lambert recognised that his act had run out of steam and left, so fair play to him for that.

If there are people who like what Callis does, fair enough. Not everything in wrestling has to be for everyone. But I’m not a fan, and never will be.

Dynamite:

I thought the tunnels from last week were a normal part of the set. Please don't tell me it's normally just a big screen. Why? What is their obsession with looking like WWE lite?

Ospreay/Page promo

There was a lot of pointless stuff here. I don't get why security were there at the start and I really don't get why Ospreay is petitioning Tony Khan for the match to be a main event when it was always going to be anyway. Other than that, it was mostly good. Lots of fire from both of them. Threatened to get a bit too shouty. Ospreay's last line was weird. You don't need go call him out bruv, you've already got a match.

Rating: The World is Not Enough - an interesting Bond movie with some nice darker moments but let done somewhat by a crap line at the end.

Mox and Young Bucks vs. Joe, Hobbs and Swerve

We're all agreed that The Opps is a shite name right? I'll allow the tit for tat strike exchange but if anyone else does it their match is automatically -5 stars. I don't make the rules. Except for this one. Why were Mox and Joe held back by their teams? Whatever. I thought some of the tricky dicky stuff with Swerve and the Bucks was clearly too tricky and ended up looking more dicky. Some of this would probably have looked a lot better if they slowed the fuck down but whatever. Really fun match.

Rating: Your first crush holds your hand for the first time

Hurt Business Contract Signing

Genuinely a bit worried about how rambling and forgetful Dustin Rhodes was here.

Rating: Old drunk man in a pub

Anthony Bowens vs. Ricochet

Bowens needs a new entrance theme. I assumed he was meant to be a heel until he started scissoring people. That's 2 for 2 for aftermath antics that ended with high spots teases.

Rating: This match happened

Hayter/Money Promo

Poor Jamie looked really uncomfortable in that top. Personally I'd have this promo before the Ospreay/Page one because this didn't convince after the fire of that one. Or I'd have done this somewhere other than the ring.

Rating: World isn't on fire

Mini vs. Hart

Julia Hart looks like a Eurovision act. The Crucifix bomb looked rough but otherwise I really enjoyed this. The pace was good, they made the basics matter. Good match. Ruined by the crowd chanting that it was awesome. Mini is a real bastard though for putting the figure 4 in Hart after the match.

Rating: 1 nightgown

Brawl

Oddly, the longer this went on the more I felt my interest in Anarchy in the Arena wane. I dunno, this felt like a fairly lifeless walk and brawl. Feels like it would have been a better visual if a mass of security guards came out to break it up before the anarchy could start.

I think I said this last week but AEW's format is a lot easier to watch than WWE's current one. I'm going to watch DoN although it's funny to me that WWE and AEW seem to be at entirely opposite ends of the spectrum when it comes to the number of matches for big shows.

I think it just depends on the building each week, when they can fit in the tunnels they do, otherwise it's the big screen.
