John Magnier was, and still is part of Coolmore Stud that owned the horse. Magnier and JP McManus owned the 28.7% of United shares that they sold to the Glazers. JP McManus also owns horses though not with either Magnier or Ferguson. The whole thing caused a lot of ill will at United, and between Magnier and Ferguson .

I always thought McTominay got a bit of a hard time from United fans. It was funny to take the piss but he seemed to get lambasted for not being better than a very good squad player who was better than the shit first team midfielders. Seemed miscast as defensive midfielder and short of the quality to be the star 10 but he was always good to bring on and try and do something productive. I get why they sold him because a very good squad player who brings in that sort of fee is hard to keep. Spending even better money on Ugarte and Mount is what I don’t get.

To be fair, I think the vast majority of United fans (outside of the Twitter bubble) adored McTominay. Most recognised him as you described, a very good squad player, but one you could always rely upon to give absolutely everything for the team.

Forest are refusing accreditation for Gary Neville for the game on Sunday. The owner Marinakis didn't like him calling out his march onto the pitch to remonstrate with the manager after the 2-2 draw with Leicester so Gary isn't allowed in. Marinakis called it fake news. It wasn't, it's clearly what he did, but Gary doesn't get the delights of the City Ground this Sunday.

Embarrassing from the big man there. He’s done wonders for us, but his mad behaviour is rapidly undoing the goodwill we’ve build up this season. I think most neutrals would’ve liked to see us crack the top four, but not so much anymore from what I’m reading.

Can’t wait to see the almighty strop he throws on Sunday.
