I think a return is unlikely but if so I'll be there for it. Seasons 1-3 were incredible. Season 4 was the drizzling shits though. They never recovered from the budget cuts and losing that brilliant Boyle Heights location. Agree with you @LaGoosh, was thinking of wrestlers who would work with a return if it happens and how Matt Striker would definitely not be fucking returning on commentary!! People like King Cuerno, Karrion/ White Rabbit, Brian Cage, Marty the Moth even, whatever happened to him? If Tony could do Dario a favour and lend him some of the roster then I'm sure he could repay him in some of his favorite Columbian product🤣🤣. Or maybe he's asked dad for a birthday present and he's bought the rights! Just to get a little jab at WWE when the rumours last year they were thinking about buying it! That would open up a huge roster of talent that could work there. Reckon it's worth a thread with people's fantasy booking ideas etc? Quote

Paid Members BomberPat Posted April 27 Author Paid Members Posted April 27 Lucha Underground is tied up in so much contractual mess that I can't even begin to think how there could be a new version of it. I expect this will be a deal to get the old episodes streaming somewhere, even if it's just on YouTube, rather than a new series. Quote
Merzbow Posted June 16 Posted June 16 Fucking hell, I didn't think I could dislike 'Taker any more but he's gone and been the ultimate cringey old cunt. Rey isn't much better either, just lame as hell digs. Â Quote

I saw it as Undertaker saying it with a smile and a wink, like he is supposed to not mention CMLL (because WWE never mentions other companies outside of their orbit) while knowing full well who they are. I see this all the time - honestly, when was the last dig AEW made at WWE? From social media, you'd get the impression that they never stop, but I can't recall anything recently. And it's different when you're the industry leader punching down than when you're a challenger brand nipping at the heels. Because it's not just that people who work for WWE are cracking jokes at CMLL's expense, they're doing it while WWE (both directly and through AAA) are actively counter-programming against CMLL's biggest shows, and with WWE's history of how they treat other promotions.
