Browser Brady Posted March 28, 2025 Posted March 28, 2025 I think the Eddie Gilbert one could be quite interesting. Quote

Thought you knew everything there is to do with this match? Well, you do, as evidenced by 45 minutes of the same stuff thats been said for 25 years (tooth in nose, didnt realise the cell would break, etc etc). Combine a story thats been told a million times, with footage thats been seen a million times, with some god awful talking heads (his kids, Al Snow amoungst others), and I think its a safe recommendation to say not to watch this unless youre watching with a really new fan. Read this as AI (A.I) Snow. Which could be an interesting new gimmick. Quote
Chili Posted March 28, 2025 Posted March 28, 2025 Thought the Foley one was fine even though I knew the story like most non-new viewers. I did perk up seeing Francois Petit again though, a delightful fella, he's someone up there with Jim Dotson as a non-wrestling presence in the attitude era that I completely forget existed and was on camera a lot. I thought so too. It was fine. Much trodden ground, by this point, but there's a different edge to these without the WWE gloss on them. The part about Foley silently sobbing on the cage when he saw it in the warehouse with Noelle one day was quite poignant, I thought. Quote
Chili Posted April 2, 2025 Posted April 2, 2025 Well Tony Halme/Ludvig Borga seemed like a right laugh didn't he. Quote

theringmaster Posted April 3, 2025 Posted April 3, 2025 The Al Snow thing about Hogan v Andre being the best match at WM3 is the biggest work of the last decade or so, Al Snow obviously does not think that and just said it to get a reaction (and it worked). Quote
Merzbow Posted April 3, 2025 Posted April 3, 2025 But it gave us Ian(?) with the all time golden shoot interview moment. Quote

This would suppose that Al Snow is smart enough to pull that off, and as he's regularly proven himself to be a huge idiot then I would say it's unlikely. Quote

I have seen this pic many times, what was his actual reply?? Side note, I have seen so many of those clips from the show the screengrab is from, where male wrestlers talk about what women wrestlers were 'hoes' back int he day, I was amazed they never resurfaced during speaking out, even when they aired like ten years ago i remember thinking how inappropriate they were. Something along the lines of “if I’ve never drawn money then there’s been a lot of stupid people that have employed me for 30 something years” Quote
The King Of Swing Posted April 3, 2025 Posted April 3, 2025 I'll never get tired of seeing that pic. Quote

Chili Posted April 3, 2025 Posted April 3, 2025 I think it's Pete on Wrestle Me that's brought up how utterly weird Sean Oliver can be with his weird basement dweller fan type skits asking wrestlers to name which of their female co-worker's are whores etc Quote
davertfnewman Posted April 3, 2025 Posted April 3, 2025 Ken Anderson finally put everyone out of their misery by telling everyone how big Batista's dick was. "It's not his dick, it's the size of his balls..." Quote
