I’ve never seen the point in preordering a code (even though I’ve definitely done it) but have heard that some places are even running out of codes these days. Is that really a thing? Out of stock codes?

Are you thinking of websites like Loaded aka cdkeys, who mass buy codes (probably through some dodgy loop hole), then sell them cheaper ? They will usually run out of stock. They don't get all new games though, and I don't think they will get GTA6 codes at launch tbh.

If your buying the box with a code from Amazon or wherever, I can't imagine them selling out.

You get some 80's Vice City ingame stuff for preordering, plus you can pre install the thing. Which will probably come in handy as this is definitely going to be over 100gb.

Think it was CD Keys actually. Think they mentioned on Giant Bomb about them running out of codes for some game. Just so long as PS Store has plenty of codes, wouldn’t want to waste a stage one warning for sick leave on nothing.

I'm not sure about the price when they first came out, but I bought a PS5 Disc Slim 1TB for my son in May 2025 and that cost me £389.99. Sounds like I got a unbelievable deal going by what the price is now, crazy.

I'm very happy people who have waited for this game for ages will finally be able to play it really soon. I watched about half the extended look whilst checking myself for a pulse. 

For me V was the actual shark jump, I just didn't realise it until after the fact. This one feel's like it's coming in cold, combining V's hyper-stimulated cynicism that no longer seems as fun for the world we're living in and RDR2's hyper-simulation weighty gameplay that makes it feel like you're slowly moving through A Rockstar Production/We Make Movies (chews water) with clicky gameplay prompts in between. 

It's interesting because at the time it came out I definitely walked around GTA III and drove in traffic properly loving the idea of it as a simulated reality. You go back and play it now and the thing's basically like an arcade game.

Yeah, No, Game of the year for me. I'm gonna get lost in that world. RDR 2 but in 2026 Miami? Unreal. And from I can tell, its gonna be a more grounded story, compared to V. More akin to IV and RDR 2. So yeah, I'm pumped. Got it pre-ordered.

I never really managed to put a whole lot of time in after San Andreas. I tried 4 and 5 and they had their moments, but I never really properly got into them, while San Andreas was just pure escapism. I'd lose hours just driving around listening to the radio or sightseeing on foot. The world felt huge, and I know the subsequent maps were bigger, but they never really felt as big or as varied. Three very different cities, a desert, some woods, mountains, flying about with the jetpack or on a plane when you bought the airfield. I honestly don't think they've managed to recapture that. At the time it was out originally I downloaded some of the soundtracks and burned them to CD, including some ripped straight from the game with the DJ links on them. Nowadays I have playlists of some of the radio stations saved on my Spotify and remember spending hours trying to get the right versions of some of the songs from it because of how many rerecordings etc there were that weren't quite right. Yes it lacks the depth of the modern games, but it was a whole experience back then. And I managed to blag a brand new copy for a tenner.
