sivy
I mean you have to be a bit of a prick to get booted from both Vince Russo show and keepin 100. And Billi managed to do it.Ā
Browser Brady
Cedric Bixler-Zavala from the band at the drive in is a big fan, or at least of old time wrestling. He used to post a good few wrestler clips on his instagram. Ā So you haveĀ Adam Jones of Tool. Billy Corgan of the Smashing pumpkins. Danzig. Lars Frederiksen from Rancid.Ā Cedric Bixler-Zavala from at the drive in. The mountain goats. Of course the ICP. Rick Rubin. Thats some credible names . Merzbow
ICP wrestled before they rapped if I remember right, I know Violent J was on the Detroit circuit in his brother's old military garb way back.

Paid Members TheBurningRed Posted November 11, 2023 Paid Members Share Posted November 11, 2023 Former pro darts player Paul Nicholson is one as well. Heās mimicked Punk twice. Doing the whole getting on one knee during the walk on and shouting itās clobbering time deal. He sat on the stage crossed leg like Punk as Phil Taylor walked on to try and wind him up. Think he lost that match. Also held up a Nexus scarf during one of those walk ons. Ā Now he does commentary on the pro tour and regularly mentions wrestling/wrestlers as references. Mostly pointless references at that.Ā

Paid Members TheBurningRed Posted November 11, 2023 Paid Members Share Posted November 11, 2023 Iām surprised heās not on here. He was on the darts forum often and still goes on there to see what people say. Heād be all over that Punk thread.Ā Punks only a casual fan. Paid Members Lion_of_the_Midlands Posted November 11, 2023 Paid Members Share Posted November 11, 2023 The PDC has got a bit WWE over the years. The walk ons with each player having their own entrance music, the fans chanting what they like and not watching what's going on, booing players they regard as villains, all very WWE. Not a celebrity or even a well known darts player but former PDC tour card holder Matt Edgar is a big wrestling fan. He used to wrestle, and he went to AEW at Wembley, but I don't think his "Prime Time" nickname is an Elix Skipper tribute.Ā
Paid Members TheBurningRed Posted November 11, 2023 Paid Members Share Posted November 11, 2023 Completely forgot about Matt Edgar. Yeah big fan and did wrestle years back. Came out with a Hogan inspired shirt one world championships.Ā The reason itās gone a bit WWE is because Barry Hearn got inspired watching a Wrestlemania years ago. Snooker has gone the same way under him. Walk on music for each player. Just less noise obviously unless itās the Shoot Out.Ā

And if there is you can bet their references go no further than 1992. āAre the Bushwhackers still wrestling? Snitsky's back acne
I wasn't a fan of ITV's Celebrity Wrestling but Hulk Hogan's series was not bad from what I remember. Danny Bonaduce was a bit of a wildcard.Ā
