Just Some Guy Posted August 11, 2023 Posted August 11, 2023 Just had a thought for worst fictitious band if this counts. I mean they aren't actually playing the instruments so not a real band, right? Anyway apologies for the shitty picture quality and an even bigger apology for anyone being exposed to this monstrosity for the 1st time. Quote
DavidB6937 Posted August 11, 2023 Posted August 11, 2023 Well, I made it 40 years without ever seeing that, and I wish I'd made it another 40. Fucking hell. Quote

Merzbow Posted February 26, 2024 Posted February 26, 2024 Not only the coolest film I've seen this year so far but both the punk band and the duo here are ace. Quote

cobra_gordo Posted February 27, 2024 Posted February 27, 2024 Hello Peril were a highlight of the film Always Be My Maybe. I was hoping they'd be a real band because the songs are great but sadly not. They've only got three tracks out but they're all bangers and have made their way on to our car playlist. Quote
Paid Members gmoney Posted February 27, 2024 Paid Members Posted February 27, 2024 All the music in Danny McBride/Jody Hill stuff is really well chosen, but I love the glimpses you see of the Gemstones music in The Righteous Gemstones. Try getting this out of your head. Can't be done. Quote

Members SuperBacon Posted January 6, 2025 Author Members Posted January 6, 2025 I don't know how I never mentioned them but the Kurupt FM boys are definitely up there with the best. This takeover is genuinely brilliant and something I watch very regularly and shows just what a great garage MC Grindah (well more Allan Mustafa) is. How he never breaks character is beyond me. And if you can get over how annoying Charlie Sloth can be, this is great as well and features the line "you stink on the mic like a strong minge" which kills me every time. 108.9. Each and every. wordsfromlee Posted January 6, 2025 Posted January 6, 2025 Their album they released a couple of years ago is great Quote

Paid Members Scratch Posted January 6, 2025 Paid Members Posted January 6, 2025 (edited) I came here to add Sing Street only to find they’d already been nominated on page 2. Unsurprisingly so, I guess, given how awesome they are. An absolutely brilliant film and all of their songs are equally brilliant. I would nominate The Blues Brothers given how they started, but they did (and still do to some extent) perform live as a band. Edit: late vote for Uncle Peter’s Band Edited January 6, 2025 by Scratch Quote

Charlie Sloth is annoying, but it's good of him to have them on, considering that People Just Do Nothing was partly meant to be a parody of Tower Block Dreams. Quote

He's had them on a couple of times. Sloth, as annoying as all that bollocks is (although I get it) is pretty good at featuring people who genuinely deserve it. Quote
