Paid Members Egg Shen Posted March 28 Paid Members Posted March 28 Main event didn't goto plan Liked seeing the shots of the One Man Gang in the crowd! Quote
Merzbow Posted March 28 Posted March 28 I'm glad she was on it right away, seen far too many guys get knocked out while a ref does fuck all over the past few years. Quote
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted March 28 Paid Members Posted March 28 The ref's great during this. She reacts immediately, gets help quickly and then goes over to Santana a couple of times to try and keep some semblance of a 'story' going. There's a real benefit to having people doing this role who have been trained properly in it. Quote
Paid Members Statto Posted March 28 Paid Members Posted March 28 Less than 90 seconds into the main event too. That's rough. Quote

Obviously the state of his brain is the most important thing, concussion etc. but for the sake of a petty moan, why the fuck was he using a superkick 90 seconds into a match anyway? Quote
NeverYield Posted March 28 Posted March 28 I second that the ref was great in this, there was no bullshit from her, just straight away knew what to do and went about it with true professionalism. Quote

Merzbow Posted March 28 Posted March 28 A Superkick is just another clothesline at this point, I bet in the 70's or whatever people were saying the same about that move. Quote
Paid Members Arch Stanton Posted March 28 Paid Members Posted March 28 To be fair, Barry did admit it was a petty moan, and it is a big pet peeve of mine too, especially when loads of guys throw them so lazily these days. Quote
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted March 28 Paid Members Posted March 28 I blame the Young Bucks. Quote

I don’t expect it to be a finish nowadays or anything but it is still the sort of move that gets built up to, except in an Uso’s match I suppose, hitting it that soon into a match just seems daft, doubly so considering it nearly took his head off Quote
