The InterToto was an infinitely superior competition. And West Ham actually (jointly) won that in 1999 too but it apparently doesn't count as a trophy.

Arsenal have just managed to bottle even being London's third most successful side in Europe. Get your priorities right, ffs. It's much less funny if you try and diminish this competition.

I'm sure there's at least one decent Hammers fan in here, which would make them the only decent West Ham fan I've ever encountered or e-ncountered. In which case I'll raise my fork in a congratulatory manner next time I'm having lasagne.

In other news, Mac Allister to Liverpool for 35m is a steal isn't it?

Release clause innit - if Brighton only valued the minimum to let him go at £35m in October when he signed the new contract, that’s on them.

If only more players had such lowball clauses in play, our mob could be pursuing a midfield of Maddison, Ward-Prowse and AN Other as we speak. Which in my head is Ndombele with a point to prove, per noise coming out of his camp.

Maddison strikes me as the classic British no10.  Which is pretty much a no8 who can’t be arsed running or a slow winger.

I was about to take exception to this post and cite Lineker but they I remembered Cruyff tried playing him on the wing at Barcelona, so it stands.

It's "the spreadsheet" Not doing it again, so please Spurs win a fucking trophy.

Yes, I'm single.
