What does he have to do to get a chance? I can’t believe we have a player out injured and we are replacing him. This doesn’t happen anymore at United. We would’ve stuck McTominay back in there and Casemiro would’ve been doing overtime in the midfield.

That seems insane to me, although as an Ireland fan I'm glad to see him getting a big move abroad.

I have given him pelters for most of his time with us, but there was a period last season before he got injured when he was great. It's an absolute disgrace that he's gone and Royal is still there (I still maintain I'm a better football player than him) But I guess Porro is 1st choice, Royal the "athletic" back up (I can't fault his work rate or effort) and Spence is the young option (lol) so Doherty really is surplus.
