Triple H has announced in an interview with Stephen A Smith that he's retiring from in Ring competition following his "cardiac event" last year. Apparently he's got a defibrillator fitted, so can't go anymore.

Not a surprise. The guy has a family and is set for life.

Nothing left to achieve other than being on Simpsons, he doesn’t need the Saudi   Payday and Vince has killed his NXT. He doesn’t need this shit anymore.

Maybe he’ll have a way back in once Vince snuffs it, but who knows anymore

The sad thing about this being that his last match goes down as being Wyatt-tainted bullshit with no finish.

They'll retcon it to be the Batista match at Mania 35.

His last match appears to be a random house show tagging with Shinsuke Nakamura v. Bobby Roode & Samoa Joe.

Bobby Roode is going to be a decent trivia answer in future. Involved in the last matches of Triple H and Hulk Hogan.

Or go to AEW and manage a stable of the biggest lads you can find.

OK, that was a joke, but I actually quite like that idea.

Edit: and Marko Stunt as the most vicious and nasty member if the stable. The crazy chihuahua in a pack of alsations.

Good luck to him.

I think his NXT renaissance standing has dipped massively over a few years of turgid WrestleMania matches and AEW providing a sort of Kliq-free space a lot of people were able to suddenly talk with renewed energy about how they were sick of the real WWE associated talents, but Triple H rules.

Guy's had a huge amount of memorable matches and angles and right until the end was rarely dull. Even when he was really shit he was like that Banter FC (I know, sorry) thing people go on about in football, where he was still a laugh to talk about.

A proper stalwart.

Those matches appear to have happened in 2019. He wrestled Orton a year ago January.
