Paid Members jazzygeofferz Posted March 25, 2022 Paid Members Share Posted March 25, 2022 Triple H has announced in an interview with Stephen A Smith that he's retiring from in Ring competition following his "cardiac event" last year. Apparently he's got a defibrillator fitted, so can't go anymore. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/10030843-triple-h-says-hes-done-wrestling-in-wwe-after-suffering-from-heart-failure
Paid Members air_raid Posted March 25, 2022 Paid Members Share Posted March 25, 2022 The sad thing about this being that his last match goes down as being Wyatt-tainted bullshit with no finish.
WyattSheepMask
Not a surprise. The guy has a family and is set for life. Nothing left to achieve other than being on Simpsons, he doesn’t need the Saudi  Payday and Vince has killed his NXT. He doesn’t need this shit anymore. Maybe he’ll have a way back in once Vince snuffs it, but who knows anymore

They'll retcon it to be the Batista match at Mania 35.

69MeDon
I think we all knew that he wasn't going to be doing another match. I wonder what his future is now in terms of doing other stuff in the company. He doesn't mention that in the interview snippit.

His last match appears to be a random house show tagging with Shinsuke Nakamura v. Bobby Roode & Samoa Joe. Bobby Roode is going to be a decent trivia answer in future. Involved in the last matches of Triple H and Hulk Hogan.
Paid Members Supremo Posted March 25, 2022 Paid Members Share Posted March 25, 2022 I still suspect he’ll eventually just pack the lot in. He couldn’t have received a more public vote of no-confidence from the company. Go enjoy your money and family.
Paid Members ReturnOfTheMack Posted March 25, 2022 Paid Members Share Posted March 25, 2022 (edited) Or go to AEW and manage a stable of the biggest lads you can find. Â OK, that was a joke, but I actually quite like that idea. Edit: and Marko Stunt as the most vicious and nasty member if the stable. The crazy chihuahua in a pack of alsations. Gay as FOOK
Good luck to him. I think his NXT renaissance standing has dipped massively over a few years of turgid WrestleMania matches and AEW providing a sort of Kliq-free space a lot of people were able to suddenly talk with renewed energy about how they were sick of the real WWE associated talents, but Triple H rules. Guy's had a huge amount of memorable matches and angles and right until the end was rarely dull. Even when he was really shit he was like that Banter FC (I know, sorry) thing people go on about in football, where he was still a laugh to talk about. A proper stalwart.

No ref, no bell, no finish. Which is why no one seems to recognise it as a match. Â
