Any time I watch a Victor Borge video I'll laugh.

Vicky and I had some Tom Lehrer on in the car the other day. He wrote and performed some delightfully dark stuff. She wasn't a fan of Poisoning Pigeons In The Park, but she did enjoy We Will All Go Together When We Go.

Picking myself up and going places. It's so easy to get drowned in grief and anxiety but every so often I manage to power through. Never been to Scotland before. Absolutely lucked out with the weather. So glad I've done it.

Solo trips can be scary but you know what? I can do what I want. Loving having the chance to just walk and take photos.

Just a Samsung Galaxy S25, a lot of patience, a relatively good eye and Scotland doing most of the work.

I do have a DSLR but didn't want to drag it all this way if it was just going to piss it down.

I recently got the S26 Ultra and the pic quality on camera phones is phenomenal these days. If I had a paid account I'd upload some of the pics I've recently took which are not quite as good as yours, but too shabby if I say so myself.

Very stupid, but I was cheered by taking a few bites out of some ham, putting it down on the plate and realising I'd made it American.

Yesterday my downstairs toilet starting leaking water into the bowel at the back. I checked the upstairs and the same thing was happening but not to the same level. I googled the problem and it seemed it was a dirty or worn out valve seal. You have to turn the water off and unclick the flushing mechanism to get at it. I was terrified about doing this but it seemed straight forward enough, and the main part unattached pretty easily. The part looked a bit frayed so I ordered two replacement parts of Amazon for £6. I just fitted them and both toilets are now working perfectly.

I am so skint atm and I'm useless at most DIY.  Calling out a plumber for this would have cost an arm and a leg. So I'm made up I got it sorted for £6, and I know how to take a toilet apart and put it back together now

Well done, mate, that's impressive. They're not that complicated but every time I mess with the toilet cistern I end up soaking everything, I break something that wasn't broken to start with and the part I've got from Screwfix is always the most annoyingly tiny bit wrong.
