I did catch a couple of clips of The Rock with the Final Boss gimmick, and I have to say I think it's a testament to just how good The Rock actually is as a worker that, despite us seeing him get beaten many times, and obliterated by Brock Lesnar, people still bought into him as this monolithic, monstrous presence in wrestling.

From a kayfabe point of view it probably works, other than Taker putting him down with the Choke slam at Mania 40, when was the last time anyone got anything on him? Cena at Mania 29? He's either not been touched or put Rowan down in 7 seconds at whatever Mania it was

Like I say, I've seen only a couple of clips, so I'm more than happy to take your word for it that that's how they've booked him since.

Matches against Cody and Roman should have followed Mania 40 up to Mania 41.
