Just saw an advert for an upcoming film (Digger) and it said 'coming to cinemas on Octomber two'. Not second, two. Maybe theres a reason to do with the film, I dont know. I do know it pissed me off

Was it American? That's fairly standard for them. Apart from Octomber.

Those pesky Power Rangers won’t stand a chance against The Octomber!

I can understand and sympathise when people aren’t sure if they should use (example) “Withnail and I” or “Withnail and me” in their sentence. The sentence usually passes for making sense and only true grammar snobs like me notice. However… thanks to the telly I’ve noticed an increasing number of stupid Americans (isn’t it always?) saying (example) “Withnail and I’s” plans/friends/whatever. It triggers me how dumb it sounds, like their brain didn’t kick in before it left their mouth. Take Withnail away, whose plans are they? My plans, you’d never say “I’s plans” would you, you thick twat?

I have a Cineworld unlimited pass and use the app for bookings. They have recently launched a new version of the app and it is utter dogshit. Can no longer search, it crashes during bookings, unlimited members can no longer book tickets on behalf of other members to get tickets next to each other. The website is also knackered and people are seeing other users’ booking histories on their accounts, and in some cases their payment details!

Don’t you just love it when the update makes the thing much much much much worse.

It's a huge fucking pain.  My wife and I book tickets to go together, so now we'll have to co-ordinate booking so that we're sitting together.  I'm in the process of writing a complaint letter and if there's no reconsideration it gets cancelled.  They're not having £40 a month off us (+ the millions pound Mrs JB spends on sweets) for this level of experience.

Edit: I say letter, obviously it was actually an electronic submission.

Edit 2:

Quote

We are currently receiving a higher than usual volume of requests, meaning there may be a slight delay in our response time but don’t worry, we process all cancellation requests from the date you submit them.

HAHAHAHA.

I've had a bit of a rubbish time this week. Got some glass stuck up in the ball on my foot on what science calls the lat met. The dog pulled a glass container off to lick the up the remnants of my wife's lunch and my dyspraxia clean up job wasn't the best.

Anyway, after visiting two different medical facilities, the first of which said I had not glass and the second booted me out until this past Tuesday. I have had two large tooth sized chunks cut out to remove a 2mm bit of glass.

Now I'm in more pain, have had to go onto crutches to avoid messing up the wound and am sat at home feeling generally useless for the foreseeable future. The only saving grace is work have been really cool at getting cover for my classes and allowing me to work from home.

My otherwise delightful colleague used “ripping off the band aid” in reference to a difficult customer interaction the other day, despite not being American.

My house number is 172. Absolutely useless.

I ordered something the other day and the courier said they'd posted it through my letterbox with a picture of a completely dfferent front door. Happens loads with where I live. i'm on a walk, while there's a road with the same name as mine and the same, or a very similar postcode. On the upside apart from Domino's I can't get any takeaway ordered to me. There's always stuff like this though. I'm pretty sure there's still a bag of cat litter sitting in one of these similarly named houses described as "a neighbour". Fortunately Amazon can usually find me, and there are plenty of collection lockers and a post office nearby. It's still a massive pain in the arse though.

Oh please. I live on P******* Lane in an area of Greater Manchester. One time Amazon marked an order delivered “in advance” that never turned up - did you know they’re allowed to do that? - and they actually taken it to P********* Street in fucking Newcastle.
