I've seen clips of the segment on Tiktok - isn't it essentially just a rehash of his debut but with a different song? The reaction to it seems about the same and that didn't seem to hinder him, so I doubt this will have much impact. It was absolute dogshit to me mind, but I'm not someone who's going to spend money on them so why should they care about that. Bet they sold another bucketload of Danhausen merch off the back of it, the cunts. Quote
Chili Posted July 28 Posted July 28 Absolutely fucking mental that the best run Danhausen has had on main wrestling TV is him trying to curse Taz's twink kid before they both got a bit rubbish in 2026. Quote
Paid Members Supremo Posted July 28 Paid Members Posted July 28 (edited) Danhausen and Joe Hendry have both proven to be creative, funny lads. It’s the very reason they both made it to WWE despite being a bit shit in the ring. Being best mates with CM Punk obviously helped Danhausen too, but you get my drift. The problem is that once you make it to WWE none of that matters anymore. It’s still Michael Hayes and Bruce Prichard scripting the exact same shite they’d hand to Boogeyman, Santino, Heath Slater, No Way Jose, R-Truth and Eugene. They have one tone and one joke for all of their comedy characters. It’s completely beyond them to even attempt something new or different. God bless Danhausen in particular, who you could see was at least trying to inject himself into some of it, but it was always a matter of time. They all go the same way. Hendry and Danhausen coming out of the production meeting, both accepting that the only way to make some proper money in this business is to deliver the shittest work of their career, scripted by the least funny human beings alive. Paid Members JLM Posted July 28 Paid Members Posted July 28 Exactly! I've been skimming through the reactions to that excruciating segment and one of the repeating themes is that this segment is TKO's fault. I don't know if this is a HHH cultist thing or the thickest of rose tinted glasses, but this sort of "comedy" is then, now, forever. Quote

It used to be that all the good stuff was the talent and the bad stuff was Vince. Now all the good stuff is HHH and the bad stuff is TKO. He's a talentless hack but you can never deny how well he plays THE GAME. Quote
NeverYield Posted July 29 Posted July 29 Grayson Wallers promo on NXT last night was better than anything on any of the recent RAWs. I'm still reeling from that Danhausen segment.. Terrible. Quote

That came up on my YT feed. Will share below for anyone interested. It's a really well delivered promo that shows a lot of confidence. As expected from a "pipebomb", it seems to be going down well in the comments and stuff. It's fucking terrible content though. Completely dunking on their own product and fans. Written by the people responsible for that product. A real piss-poor, public, it's them not us. Sure someone will cry "he's a heel" but as usual with the stuff, it gets cheered and even a "This is awesome" chant - which he puts a stop to - but still, you're slaughtering your own product, on your own show, and the people who come to watch it are cheering along. It's shit everytime it's ever been done. And it makes everything look rubbish, except Grayson Waller, I suppose. Spoiler Quote
Paid Members Supremo Posted July 30 Paid Members Posted July 30 Shoot promos about everything being shit. Wild how quickly the Venn Diagram between Vince’s WWE and Hunter's WWE became a circle. Quote
SoloJones Posted July 30 Posted July 30 Didn't hate that promo, anyone actually watching NXT every week is going to get the bit enough to not let the shitting on the product part of it cause any actual harm. It was mostly performed with the cadence of an East London slam poet though, and I wasn't a fan of dropping "lad" every few lines - already trying to get a new catchphrase and subsequent merch over in a "shoot" promo doesn't really ring true. d-d-d-dAz Posted July 30 Posted July 30 I couldn't get throught it. The word 'politic' brings me out in hives. I'm not sure hijacking NXT is the best way to make your point about belonging at the top of the game, either. 'I AM THE YOUNGEST MICHELIN STARRED CHEF EVER... SO I AM HERE AT THIS MCDONALDS TO SAY...' Something about Grayson Waller doesn't look right, to me. He doesn't look natural. Like he's playing the part of the cool, athletic jock type but is actually a bit wet. He looks like someone who would pop up on a show like Love Island and be a big show-off early, but struggle to retain his aura after failing to get a hard-on in the shower with Chantelle. Not for me. For me, he needs to ditch the boxing pants. It just hurts his look completly. Looks like an outfit from Highspots bought for someones last minute debut. Hopefully they'll freshen him up a bit. Quote
Paid Members Supremo Posted July 31 Paid Members Posted July 31 Reports coming out that this week’s episode of Raw was a bit of a disaster for WWE, with Netflix executives in attendance not too impressed with Heyman’s microphone cutting out, that extra playing a police officer screwing up his spot with Oba Femi and the Danhausen/Joey Hendry segment being such a massive pile of shit. Hopefully the walls are closing in on Hunter. Looks like they’ve censored Brock’s T-shirt, too. Even with an asterisk in, “SH*T,” they’ve since blocked the whole thing out for On Demand viewings on Netflix. Original airing. On Demand. If they were offended by his clobber, wait until they read the lawsuit he’s named in forty four times! The least they could have done is get a bit creative with it. I’m now going to spend an unhealthy amount of time trying to see if they censor Paige’s horrendous tattoos. Quote
The Gaffer Posted August 1 Posted August 1 His t-shirt isn't all that should have been censored. Quote
d-d-d-dAz Posted August 4 Posted August 4 If you want further proof that part time contracts are actually a really good idea, look at poor Roman having to schlep about with bums like LA Knight (again). What a complete waste of time. Let him go and sleep for 6 months and bring him back for Wrestlemania. Very funny watching him disembowel Knight with about 20 words. No chill from Roman. No one gets over on his watch when he's got a mic in his hands. Prayers for Jey Uso hearing 'oh you beat my cousins? Good for you.' Quote
BarryOVega Posted August 4 Posted August 4 Having read the results, surely they're not going to put Oba with Heyman and turn Breakker face? I'm sure it won't go that way in the end but it'd be disastrous for both of them Then again, if Heyman's still involved in creative the whole thing will be so that the build to Oba Vs Reigns at Mania will revolve around who's Heyman's favourite Quote
