Paid Members Supremo Posted July 28 Paid Members Posted July 28 The exact same energy. I’ll just stand next to this big, hot deal. No particular reason. Quote
Paid Members LaGoosh Posted July 28 Paid Members Posted July 28 So out of morbid curiosity I checked out the Danhausen/Hendry thing. You lot who watch this weekly need to sort your lives out, good lord. Quote
d-d-d-dAz Posted July 28 Posted July 28 From what i've seen, Seth feels a little bit like yesterday's man. It should just be Oba v Roman in a big match on Sunday night, really. I'm all for them not pulling the trigger on someone if they have reasons to believe the hot new thing isn't ready (the Ryback protocol), but equally at that point they need to pull back and stop edging the fans (sort of what they've done with Bron). As it is, they clearly still believe in Oba... so should have just followed through with the promise of King of the Ring. Quote
The Gaffer Posted July 28 Posted July 28 "Why would you go to a rock concert, just watch some Hendry & Danhausen, pal!" Quote
Paid Members Supremo Posted July 28 Paid Members Posted July 28 (edited) All you haters need to learn to have fun. Like Bron Breakker is having, still being a member of The Vision. Looks to be having the time of his life. Thank heavens he didn’t just become, “the next Steiner.” Edited July 28 by Supremo Quote
TheScarlettChad Posted July 28 Posted July 28 Joe Hendry needs sacked. And honestly, not to do a Kier but I think I need to flip flop, Danhausen needs to be sackedhausen. Utter dross. Quote
The King of Old School Posted July 28 Author Posted July 28 Hendry and Danhausen went exactly as I thought it would. Who on earth is looking at that thinking yes this is entertaining? Only good thing to come from this Raw is Silo Sikoa. Natural babyface and should be the one to dethrone Roman. Quote

Forgive me if I'm wrong but did he not already dethrone Roman as the head of the Bloodline about two years ago? Quote
TheScarlettChad Posted July 28 Posted July 28 No, He lost it, I think? On the Netflix debut RAW. Quote
The King of Old School Posted July 28 Author Posted July 28 Yeah he lost. If he carries on last night's form for a while though he just looks a natural babyface in waiting. Genuinely amusing too unlike 99% of them. Quote
Paid Members DCW Posted July 28 Paid Members Posted July 28 I've not watched current WWE since Mania cos I know its not for me anymore. Even still, that Hendry/Danhausen thing was absolutely wretched. I had no idea who the boxer guy is either, but of course he's a disgusting massive racist piece of shite cos WWE/TKO seem to now deal exclusively with those pricks. I wouldn't rule out a McGregor appearance at this rate. It's also incredible how quickly they have overexposed and WWE-ified Danhausen too. He's well on his way to being another Hornswoggle/Eugene/Boogeyman type. Quote

The problem was the abysmal material more than the performances. Maybe it’ll turn out that this was all their idea, but if you look at the things both acts did pre-WWE and how WWE has presented its ‘comedy’’ historically, I’m going to go out on a limb and guess it came from the mind of someone else. thatvinylgeek Posted July 28 Posted July 28 I think we all (well most of us) called very early that this was what would happen with Dan Hausen , they have no idea what his character really is, or why it works. They just wanted the merch sales, some trademarked facepaint and something new and "wacky" for the kids...if he's happy in the role then fair play, take the payday and run. He has the recognition now, so could easily appear somewhere else such as TNA and do well for himself. I'm still secretly hoping they pair him and Regal as Raw GMs and let them do their own writing though, then all will be forgiven. Joe Hendry...meh...he screams TNA should have stayed put, the best thing he had were the low quality entrance songs he was doing on the indie's, Edge's Bitch and Drew being particular highlights...again WWE just WWE'd him. Seems like a nice guy though and is a huge wrestling fan , so I hope he's enjoying his time whilst making some decent money. Quote

Hendry especially was never going to translate to the main roster. He's a indie.geek. Quote

Having met him twice in a non-wrestling context (well, a non pro-wrestling context - once was to do with amateur wrestling), my experiences of him were positive. I hope he has a long run there, even if I hate every second of what they make him do. 4 minutes ago, TheScarlettChad said: Hendry especially was never going to translate to the main roster. He's a indie.geek. I think he could, but they distill him down to the simplest aspect of his gimmick. Weirdly, his character probably suits somewhere like AEW that little bit better. He’s essentially a different genre of Max Caster, and they used him pretty well before his mysterious disappearance. At the very least, they wouldn’t try to WWE-ify his jokes. Quote
