Apologies, a typo there. But thanks for not being a pedant about it. Edit - sorry I realised this reads as sarcasm/me being arsey. Not the intention, genuinely appreciate the spot! TibBo Posted Saturday at 10:56 AM Posted Saturday at 10:56 AM Any recommendations for horror comedies with a similar vibe to Shaun of the Dead/Zombieland which might be suitable for a young teen? I think we’ve got Zombieland 2, Monster Squad and The Worlds End lined up for today - but I remember The Worlds End being a bit crap, and nowhere near as good as HotFuzz/Shaun? I know I saw Scream when I was 12, but I don’t want to completely traumatise the kid Quote
Cousin Jim Bob Posted Saturday at 11:03 AM Posted Saturday at 11:03 AM Tucker & Dale vs. Evil has some gore, around Shaun of the Dead levels and it's a 15. Quote

Watched it with my son for our annual Halloween film when he was 10, he loved it. But not as much as Killer Klowns from Outer Space the year before that (there's another one for you, @TibBo). Quote

Dr. Alan Grant Posted Saturday at 08:16 PM Posted Saturday at 08:16 PM I’ve watched 31 horror films (some don’t really fall into the horror category, blame Letterboxd for their inclusion here) this month. All films I haven’t seen before. Some great, some good, some bad, some I’m glad to have finally watched but I’ll be damned if I’ll ever watch them again. The best ones: The Invisible Man (2020) Evil Dead (2013) Night Of The Living Dead (1968) - finally managed to get the trilogy watched after meaning to do it for about 30 years. Train To Busan (2016) - my favourite of the month. Dawn Of The Dead (1978) Lee Cronin’s The Mummy (2026) - very surprised to learn afterwards that this seems to be universally hated. Day Of The Dead (1985) 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple (2026) - worth it for the Iron Maiden scene alone. Phantom Of The Paradise (1974) - sorry Busan, I think this might actually be my favourite. Holy moly, this was fantastic. The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975) - another one that’s been on the to-do list for decades. Lived up to my expectations. The decent ones: Late Night With The Devil (2023) It Follows (2014) M3GAN (2022) As Above, So Below (2014) Evil Dead Rise (2023) Evil Dead Burn (2026) The Hills Have Eyes (1977) - I honestly prefer the remake. I Saw The TV Glow (2024) The Monkey (2025) The Long Walk (2025) The shite: Scream 7 (2026) Malignant (2021) Mad God (2021) The Meg (2018) House Of 1000 Corpses (2003) Return To Silent Hill (2026) - without a doubt the worst film of the lot. Absolute shite of the highest order. Never Again: Possession (1981) Videodrome (1983) Mandy (2018) Eraserhead (1977) House (1977) - what on earth. Certainly not bad films, but goddamn they were hard going. I’m going to spend November watching Disney films I think. Quote
