There is some proper cunty scheming going on today by the sounds of it. Boris threatening all the Tory MPs who are considering voting against him with deselection and what the BBC are calling "More than rumours" that Boris will look to call a general election on Friday. If he does that earliest likely election date 17th of October. No parliamentary discussion of Brexit if everyone is fighting an election.

The threat to kick out the rebels very much lends credence to BomberPat's notion that BJ is trying for a GE, in essence to get a de facto "reset" of his voter base by going for a Tories/Brexit Party coalition. After all, he's been advised by Bannon, who's most likely told him to woo the far right. A coalition with Farage means he doesn't have to rely on the "soft" Tories to get his legislation through if he gets returned to parliament.

So apparently the spin doctors hinted at a General Election call, but all we got from BJ was more hot air about Brexit. Strongly believe if this opposition legislation gains traction, he may hit the button on a vote under the Fixed Terms act for an election. Earliest it could be held is the 14th October (a Thursday as is precedent), but the Cunts would be able to change the date without asking Parliament. By hook, crook or ignoring the book, he will get his way I fear.

14th is a Monday. There's no requirement to hold it on a Thursday, there never has been. It was traditionally held then as it was the day before payday and they reckoned people wouldn't just go to the pub instead. 

Anyway, this was essentially an election call, without going all out and saying it.

He can't call a General Election. The MPs have to vote 2/3 majority for it. It'll be up to Jeremy Corbyn if we have one ( although I can't see many scenarios where he would want to vote against it.)
