A superb day of snookering action. Capped off with Handsome Hoss Vafaei winning a decider and Neil Robertson continuing to be appalling at the Crucible. What a first 3 days.

Great finish to Higgins/Williams match. Nothing against Higgins but I'm happy to see Mark get to the semi-final.

I don't think Ronnie has really been tested so far but he's still looking decent. He's had bursts of winning four or five frames in quickly which no doubt puts a lot of pressure on his opponents.

I can't really choose a winner between Trump and Brecel. I think Brecel now had the upper hand but it could be close.

Xintong has looked really good. I'm guessing while he was banned he was still practicing like a professional. As soon as he got back into Q School he dominated it.

With a session to spare.

What an incredible performance from Xintong, and never ever flustered or floundered. The focus is always on Ronnie in any of his matches but cannot take away from how good some of that snooker was.

Mark Williams is one of my favourite players but a Trump/Xintong final feels more exciting to me. The worlds best player against the guy looking to become the first Chinese world champion. If it is those two in the final I can't see much safety play happening.

Trump Vs Williams has been so much fun to watch. Either of them Vs Zhao has the potential to be a blinding final. This has already been so much better than the world's last year, which was turgid.

Mark Williams: Britain's greatest living sportsman. 50 years old, looks 60, made of pies and going blind and playing at this standard. An example to us all.

Mark Williams is just incredible, the composure, the bottle to take the shots he does, and like you say with eyesight issues, an immense talent.

Playing out of his skin this tournament.

I’m so pleased for Mark Williams, he’s playing so well and would definitely deserve the win.

We were lucky to go on a Christmas cruise in 2019 and when we were at the muster drill before setting sale, a quiet Welsh voice next to me said “this is fun”. I turned round to see Mark Williams, but rather than a sarcastic comment about a clumsy safety formality, he was genuinely excited by it. We got chatting and he was a truly lovely bloke. We’d see him onboard throughout the week and he always made a point of saying hello and asking how we were and what we’d been up to.

He's incredibly humble and it would make me an even more appreciative snooker fan if he lifts the trophy this year.

Was he constantly in trackie bottoms and flip flops? It's the only other way I can imagine him dressing.

You’re half right.
