He has then spent 4 years doing nothing but seeking and craving it. Wasn't there a rumour that he pulled out because there was a fairly major scandal/skeleton in his closet that was about to be made public? I'm sure I recall that being the case at the time. He's fucked now though. Surely Labour won't go anywhere near him, can't see the Lib Dems picking him up either.
Factotum
The rumour was he was in the closet and the press were going to release it. But there doesn't seem to have really been any base to that at all and it was more Twitter rumours trying to make sense of why he dropped out. Hardly the kind of scandal that should stop someone running for leader, surely?

Cheers for clarifying, I recall seeing there was a rumour of something but I wasn't aware of what, or whether it was the reason he actually dropped out.
Paid Members Ronnie Posted June 13, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted June 13, 2019 They're having to change their name again! That's the third time in four months. The non-partisan change.org took legal advice back when TIG adopted the name Change UK. As a result, please welcome to the party The Independent Group for Change!
Keith Houchen
They now have the same amount of words in their name as they have MPs. Â Well, at least for now.
Paid Members Lion_of_the_Midlands Posted June 13, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted June 13, 2019 https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-48631116 Chuka is now defecting to the Lib Dems. What a feckless cunt he really is.
Paid Members gmoney Posted June 13, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted June 13, 2019 (edited) So in this term he's been; Labour, an Independent, CUK, Independent again and a Lib Dem. Can anyone beat that? And what's next for Chuka? Sinn Fein? Edited June 13, 2019 by gmoney
Keith Houchen
Streatham now has a Lib Dem MP. Â In 2017, the Lib Dem candidate managed a whopping 3611, or 6.5% of the vote. Â
Paid Members Jazzy G Posted June 14, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted June 14, 2019 Surely if there's an actual independent candidate standing against a member of "the independent group for change" it's going to confuse the electorate? Who's leader of the Lib Dems at the moment?
