Paid Members chokeout Posted December 24, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted December 24, 2019 I've been ill so didn't do any this year. I'm in charge of eating / telling them they should have left them in 5 more minutes. The plait was the Char su
iMPACt!
My Mrs was preparing soup for one of the courses so she could just reheat tomorrow. When leaving it to cool she has somehow has managed to evaporate all the water. Never laughed so much at a pot of mushed veg.
Awards Moderator Onyx2 Posted December 24, 2019 Awards Moderator Share Posted December 24, 2019 @Silky Kisser I am a bit late for you but those things are exactly what I've been doing today. Veg is peeled and sitting in the fridge, potatoes par boiled and sitting in fat ready to go. Gravy done too.

I'd wolf those down.
SuperBacon
This isn’t much (and I’m sure it looks horrendous) but I’m quite proud of myself for this. On my todd today and keen not to repeat the last few years when I’ve just had pasta or whatever, I decided to cook for myself. If I’m being honest, it’s all an excuse to just have roast potatoes but I’ve never cooked them before. Think they might have been a bit over but I like them crispy. Stuffed mushrooms were a pain in the arse and not very nice but I’m just happy to have bothered and not let the depression win again. Now having a beer and playing Vice City. Merry Chrysler!

Paid Members JNLister Posted December 25, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted December 25, 2019 We went for the old traditional Christmas classic of duck dashi noodles, miso salmon, crispy pork belly, 'seaweed', pickled fennel, and miso braised veg. Retro Red
Turkey aside, I made Gammon as well this year, slow cooked in Dr Pepper for 8 hours. Filthy.
Paid Members Kaz Hayashi Posted December 25, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted December 25, 2019 All the beige and brown elements of the feast. Along with veg it served 9 and there’s loads left for sandwiches for our car journey down south tomorrow. I feel like I need an internal deep clean now.
