This might be a regional thing, I don't remember ever seeing kebabs in chippies when I was a kid. In fact, I can only remember The Godfather on Kingsway doing them locally. Definitely didn't have them in Tony Wong's or The Battered Cod. Quote

They added the salt and vinegar to perfection and from that day forth I have been chasing the dragon (including returning to said place) and its not even got close. Vinegar that dries into chips immediately, fish that doesnt flake right. One day.... One day. Quote

They were available from the shithole chippy in Newtown when I was little, and that was well over 25 years ago (yes, I was about 5 when I was introduced to kebabs. Yes, I agree, way too late). Quote
