Paid Members PunkStep Posted February 27, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted February 27, 2017 Yeah I've seen Dixy Chicken places around London for years, never tried one though.
Paid Members Carbomb Posted February 27, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted February 27, 2017 (edited) There's a Dixy on Green Lanes, near where I live in north London. Pretty standard fried chicken fare. Edited February 27, 2017 by Carbomb
Paid Members FLips Posted February 27, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted February 27, 2017 Dixy Chicken is in Boro too. As if Perfect Fried Chicken.
Paid Members PunkStep Posted February 27, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted February 27, 2017 Growing up in a bad-ass O.G. town in South East Herts, we never had a KFC nearby and had to make do with Favourite Fried Chicken. Always loved their Fillet of Fire and the day they launched the fabled Double Ringer (Sergio, Kenneth jpgs at the ready) burger was a momentous occasion. It was a Fillet of Fire, which is a bit like a Zinger, with a couple of onion rings and cheese thrown in. It was bloody delicious.
Paid Members Carbomb Posted February 27, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted February 27, 2017 One of my locals, Zam's Chicken, do a Double Delight burger, which is pretty much that. They also do the Mountain burger, which is the same, but a hash brown on top of that.
Paid Members Gus Mears Posted February 27, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted February 27, 2017 (edited) A chicken burger is not a chicken burger without the hash brown. It has a separate name without, and that word is shite. Edited February 27, 2017 by Gus Mears
Keith Houchen
There are quite a few Dixy's in Manchester. The one in Chorlton is sound enough. Plus they deliver a bucket to Hungry Hungover Houchen when needed.
Ladiesman345
A bucket to vomit in?
Keith Houchen
It can be used in such a manner, yes.
Paid Members Gus Mears Posted February 27, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted February 27, 2017 It's basically recycling. Like when my mate Tim told me of his pride after using his kebab-napkin to clean up after a 2AM grot session.
mikehoncho
I've not trawled the thread, but has anyone mentioned the famous Swansea Bap you can buy in the Twin Town cafe, by the railway station?  Any 3 items from what would normally be classed as a fat cunt breakfast menu, in an oversized bap, with a large tea for £2.30 ... as they say in Swansea, cowin' lush.  Available 7 days a week! MrK
Speaking of fried chicken take away delight, is there a reason why Chic-Fil-A have never tried to open any places in the UK? Every time I'm in Georgia I end up gorging on the stuff. Can't get enough. It's like they put cocaine in the special sauce. I get really funny looks when I'm rubbing it on my gums. Moderators PowerButchi Posted February 27, 2017 Author Moderators Share Posted February 27, 2017 I dunno if them being so hardcore Christian would go down well over here. Them donating to lobby groups against equal marriage and stuff.
Paid Members Sergio Mendacious Posted February 27, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted February 27, 2017 They do a cracking business in NYC these days, and we're all flag-burning abortion fans. I think they'd be fine, but honestly, Britain may have market saturation for fried chicken.
mikehoncho
Why am I reminded to watch Micky Flanagan's "Chicken Children" skit ... ?
