Yup. And, because of overseas départements like French Guiana, Martinique, Guadeloupe, and La Réunion, you can use Euros in South America and Africa.

Do you play Worldle? You can usually guess the currency if the country is/was an old French or Belgian colony.

I haven't played that, no - is that like Wordle but with geographical clues?

The winners of their domestic football leagues are also offered a place each season in the French Cup.

You get an outline of a country and have to guess which country it is. You get told how close in Km you are with each guess. Then if you get it, it’s countries that border it, capitals, population and currency. It used to be my game with breakfast but they added a US state version and a “Where was this photo taken” variant which is wonderful for trivia.

Nice. I've been doing a lot of that sort of thing on Sporcle too, so it sounds like something I'd go for.

Because of how spread out the departments are France also covers the most time zones as well.
