Paid Members SpursRiot2012 Posted March 18, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted March 18, 2014 I'm most proud of the fact I share a birthday with Vince McMahon (not the same year though!) as in terms of what happened on my actual birthday back in '79 there were a number of shows around the country including a WCCW event in Texas which a couple of years ago I managed to find a pristine copy of the programme from which I had framed. One of my favourite Wrestling items I own. Â In a similar vein I just tried to find the Memphis show from my birthdate on Youtube. Typically, I can find the show before and after, but not the one i want.

Shane O' Mac Version 2
So... June 21, 1990 (way to make me feel like a child, guys ). Wrestler birthdays: Brandi Rhodes, albeit born in 1983. No wrestlers born on the exact same day as me.  WWF in Phoenix  1 Big Boss Man defeated Ted DiBiase 2 Bushwhackers (Bushwhacker Butch and Bushwhacker Luke) defeated Greg Valentine and Honky Tonk Man by disqualification 3 Nikolai Volkoff defeated Boris Zhukov 4 The Warlord defeated Tito Santana 5 Brady Boone defeated Bob Bradley 6 Brooklyn Brawler defeated Jim Brunzell 7 2 on 1 Handicap Match-Ultimate Warrior defeated Haku and Bobby Heenan  Well, Warrior was on it, so yay for relevance with the upcoming HOF induction. And close ties to the Bushwhackers- although we Aussie only adopt Kiwis if they're really successful, like Russell Crowe, or every rugby league player they produce.  WWF in London (Ontario, Canada)  1 Paul Roma defeated Buddy Rose 2 The Barbarian defeated Jimmy Snuka 3 Hercules defeated Akeem 4 Tugboat defeated Dino Bravo 5 WWF Tag Team Titles Match- Demolition (Smash and Crush) © defeated Bret Hart and Jim Neidhart 6 Dusty Rhodes defeated Randy Savage  Links- Jim Neidhart is on the card and I saw Nattie wrestle live last year. Man, this is depressing.  WCW in Memphis  1 New Samoans (Fatu and Samoan Savage) defeated Danny Davis and The Star Blazer 2 Brian Pillman defeated Dutch Mantell 3 Bam Bam Bigelow defeated Johnny Rich 4 Mark Callous defeated Norman the Lunatic 5 El Gigante defeated El Diablo (1:30 minutes) 6 Rock 'n' Roll Express (Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson) defeated Fabulous Freebirds (Michael Hayes and Jimmy Garvin) 7 Barry Windham defeated Tracy Smothers 8 Junkyard Dog defeated Ric Flair  Hey, this is vaguely cool! Mark Callous is otherwise known as the Undertaker. Nice to know the Deadman was kicking arse when I was a newborn. And there's a Zeb appearance, and Naitch, who I have seen live. Woooo! Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted March 18, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted March 18, 2014 Not the most memorable sounding shows here 12/03/1990 5 Mike Awesome defeated Jerry Lawler by disqualification  Mike Awesome was wrestling as early as 1990, and against Lawler? Never realised Awesome had been around that long before his FMW/ECW runs.

Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted March 18, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted March 18, 2014 The Pro. I had no idea. I assumed he was a bit of a rookie in the ECW days. Mad to think he was wrestling Lawler in Memphis when I was four!
Awards Moderator HarmonicGenerator Posted March 18, 2014 Awards Moderator Share Posted March 18, 2014 On August 13th 1985... Stuff  And exactly two years later, on my birthday, WWF held a show with a main event of Honky Tonk Man vs. Jake Roberts for the Intercontinental Title, while Jim Crockett Promotions had two non-finishes at the top of the card. Barry Windham & Jimmy Garvin vs the Midnight Express, two out of three falls for the Tag Team Titles was a DQ, and Ric Flair vs. Ronnie Garvin for the World Title ended in a double count out. Not especially exciting!  Edit: oh, and we also share our birthday with Spike Dudley.
