Chris keeps making comparisons to WCW and AEW challenging WWE and Meltzer flat-out states that there’s no-one big enough nowadays to make a difference to AEW the same way Hogan made a difference to WCW. LOL. You could almost hear Jericho’s chubby heart break.

An animated rap intro that runs through all their themes and tropes seems a bit on the nose, for me. I'm being a dick about it, to an extent, but I reach this natural point of disillusionment with these sort of things where they stop covering their funniest periods and start looking like they're just really having a laugh with the money it's generating.

If i has one critisicm of OSW its that they review the matches based on todays standards a bit too much. They like to talk about workrate and all that shit and apply it to matches where it never really mattered.

If a match/event/wrestler was truly good, then it should age well and still be entertaining years down the line. I mean, I thought 'Space Precinct' was good as a kid but I watched a few episodes last night after a near 25 year gap and it's actually proper shit.

This episode is definitely the best one that Maffew has appeared on. Was rewatching some recently and there’s an OOC line that absolutely killed me. He’s talking about how Evolution would all go out and get smashed, but Triple H would be “sneaking pints of water in between, one of them type of cunts”

I can take or leave Maffew and don’t hate him as much as a lot of people on here, but something is definitely missing when OOC isn’t on the show. His deadpan delivery is great.

They know what we like and now it's about shilling all the references and schtick into every episode sadly. I still enjoy them immensely but nothing will touch the early episodes when it was all so natural, 3 lads spouting nonsense and not out to appease anyone. Agreed on OOC, he's incredible. Natural delivery like you say. Very funny guy. I like how he doesn't give a shit and doesn't want to be famous as such compared to the lads who love to rep, wear the shirts everywhere and connect but each to their own. Maffew is a funny guy but he can fuck off from OSW. The whole dynamic of the 3 of them is what makes it. Stop ruining my favourite podcast already. It's obviously Jay's idea but why ruin a good thing? To leach off some new Botch fans? I'm ranting, I should stop.

Funny thing is I finally got into it and made it through several episodes then stopped to listen to SCG and found it very dry again immediately after. They seem like good guys but the host lacks the charisma of Liam on SCG. It's fine though, just took some working back into. Does make me chuckle to think of listeners overseas who think we all live in London and talk like the war films from the 50s and what they'd make of the SCG crew from the black country and the Leicestershire mob on New Gen. Reminds me of a work call we had with a company in California a few years ago when one of our guys from South Yorkshire used the phrase "it does exactly what it says on't tin". Cue silence and confusion.
