I was told by the vet recently that Dave is too much on the chunky side and needs to lose 2kg. Today he burst out of his favourite box. I’m managing a fractured elbow so he’ll have to wait for someone to tape it back together at some point.

Took him back on the Broads yesterday. He still doesn't get on with swans. Fine with all the other birds, just does not like swans.

Cimma went exploring, and got stuck (as in she couldn't get down, not that she got stuck inside).

We've had a cat calling around daily since late August. I've taken to calling her Cherry for some reason. She will allow you to rub her but is still quite wary. Won't eat smoked salmon, bacon or drink kitten milk. Loves aldi cat treats and dry cat food with a bit of warm water.

She usually suns herself on our little patio or sits on the window sill looking longingly at the open window, but couldn't muster the courage to come inside. The cold weather seems to have finally got to her and she made the leap in today. She went from hiding under the kitchen table to lying on the mat cleaning herself and falling asleep on the couch in about an hour!

Have asked a few of the neighbors if they own her and none do. Going to stick up a few posters around the blocks and see if anyone comes forward. Otherwise it'll be off to the vets for a chip check and once over and go from there.

Today was his 5th birthday. And I caught myself turning into my mum when I described his new denim jacket as 'snazzy'.
