Foley mentions in his first book that there was loads of merchandise being made for Mark Henry in 96 lots of red/white american themed things and when Austin asked for a t-shirt he was told they just didn't think it would sell. Then he joined the Nation upon his arrival, meaning NOD shirts and black tight fitting numbers were order of the day.
