Paid Members Halitosis Romantic Posted March 13, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted March 13, 2012 Just watched Mary and Max - I am dead with upset. It dragged for maybe 15 minutes in the last third, and lost a bit of momentum, but I can't imagine anything more tear jerking and yet honest. Paid Members tiger_rick Posted March 15, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted March 15, 2012 Trying to think of a film. I think it's recent-ish. The only scene I can (half) remember is a guy, some sort of boss, sitting in a chair and someone else (who might be a black guy) puts a bag over his head until he suffocates. What the hell is it? Paid Members tiger_rick Posted March 15, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted March 15, 2012 (edited) Lucky Number Slevin? That's the one, cheers. Morgan Freeman is the black bloke I was thinking of SPOILER - Highlight the black box to read but he gets suffocated too, he's not the one doing the suffocating. Â Â Cracking film, I thought. Paid Members Halitosis Romantic Posted March 15, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted March 15, 2012 Yeah, it's a blinding movie. To me, it absolves Josh Hartnett of anything he's done wrong in his career, and features Bruce Willis in his perfect role.
Stone Cold Jane Austen
I remember enjoying it when it came out but also thought it wouldn't stand up to later viewings because it's so twist heavy.
Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted March 15, 2012 Moderators Share Posted March 15, 2012 I went in with very low expectations, partly because of the awful title but really enjoyed it. You should probably spoiler-mark your post there, Tiger.
Rey_Piste
I finally got around to watching Attack the Block last night, at first I really didn't like the protagonists, but by the end you startt to sympathise with them. It was a lot more enjoyable than I thought it would be.
Paid Members Bellenda Carlisle Posted March 15, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted March 15, 2012 The more I hear people complain abut the protagonists in attack the block the more I think it was a brave decision to do it like that, there's been so much hate for it it's crazy. The only other thing I've seen him in is 40 days, 40 nights which we watched again last year on some backwater channel and it was still pretty decent. Know he was in Pearl Harbour, which I haven't seen, nothing else springs to mind.
