Just watched Human Centipede 2, and enjoyed it. Reminded me of british 60's kitchen sink drama, crossed with torture porn.

The acting is terrible, as was the 60's source material, but it just seems to fit in with the ethos of the film. If you want a serious, layered horror movie, don't worry, but for a bit of OTT fun, give it a whirl.

I thought Bridesmaids was going to be The Hangover but with girls. I hate The Hangover so I wasn't overly keen on watching Bridesmaids, turns out it was much better than I thought it would be. Plus I really fancy Kristen Wiig.

Just watched The Lookout. Does Joseph Gordon-Levitt ever have a bad performance. By far my favourite actor now. A pretty decent film with good performances all round, JGL and Jeff Daniels in particular. It's a pretty sad film and jerked a few tears towards the end. JGL really likes his depressing roles though doesn't he. I've seen this, 50/50, Hesher, Mysterious Skin & Brick all within the last 12 months or so and in each he plays a depressing or down and out character.

Recently as two days ago I got to watch Justice League Doom. To be honest, I really like the DC animated films but this was probably the most underwhelming for me.

The story was great (and I need to find the comic) but some of the things were just... not that good. The Green Lantern stuff was great with Nathan Fillon, as was Superman's falling scene and Batman's portrayal is great with Kevin Conroy. But Cyborg was so poorly written and dialouge was cheesy as hell. The others were pretty good but the finish was so blah. Well worth a look if you like DC, but I would suggest watching one of the other films first.

The kids in my work have been telling me to watch that (and the first one) recently. Are they gory as hell?

First one isn't, infact, excusing the pun. Human Centipede, is shite. Not seen the 2nd yet

What pun???

There is no pun in your post pat! Just more inappropriately used commas, as, always.

Okay! I dont know what it was then. Human Centipede involves a lot of literal shit, calling the film 'shite' would therefore be what type of thing then?

Is "shite" the pun?

Yes, it was supposed to be. Clearly this isn't right: my bad.

I have no idea. I'm never sure how you're supposed to read any of his posts with his "illiterate William Shatner" stylings.

William Shatner?

Shatner. Shat. Shite.

It's a pun.

Surprisingly little in the first one. The concept fizzles out a bit after a while, but the perfomance of the mad scientist really saves it. He's great!

Quite a lot in the 2nd one, but it is in black and white, which tones it down a bit. Both have to be watched with an open mind, as there are plot holes you could drive through, but they are both great fun.
