Can't see him troubling the big guns but you never know, playing against top rate players on a more consistent basis might kick him on a level and make him better himself. Personally I think Durrant is a step above both King and Bunting, but you never know.

Even moreso than Taylor vs RVB 2007, or Adams vs Nixon? Honestly, in a way it was, just because it was so wholly unexpected. Taylor/RVB was extraordinary, but you knew full well you were watching the absolute best at work.
Moderators PowerButchi Posted January 16, 2019 Moderators Share Posted January 16, 2019 Final Q-School list. Some real heavy hitters this year. Â https://www.pdc.tv/news/2019/01/15/durrant-headlines-uk-q-school-entries
Stylin_and_Profilin
Jamie Hughes and Harry Ward made the two automatic spots from day one. Apparently Hughes had averages of 109, 108 and 109 again in three of his matches; granted it's only best of nine legs but that's some standard regardless. Moderators PowerButchi Posted January 17, 2019 Moderators Share Posted January 17, 2019 My mate Daf made the Semis. Hopefully another good day will be enough on points.
Paid Members TheBurningRed Posted January 18, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted January 18, 2019 My mate took a hiding ha. He was up against Dyson Parody. Who averaged a 136 in one leg, doing him in 11 darts.
Moderators PowerButchi Posted January 18, 2019 Moderators Share Posted January 18, 2019 Daf lost today in the last 256. As did Scott Waites. He's going to struggle mightily for a card at this rate. @Keith Houchen's mate Bedwetter McGeeney is looking bolted on for one though. He looks like he'll be a bit of a floor specialist. Moderators PowerButchi Posted January 19, 2019 Moderators Share Posted January 19, 2019 (edited) Houchen's mate Piss McGeeney won his outright along with Scott Baker today. Both Floor Warriors to be fair, McGeeney will have no TV game, it's like Mensur.  ANyway, word around the campfire is that Saturday is Glen Durrant's last chance. He was shit again today, only got one point in the Q School OoM, but he can't play on Sunday as he has an exbo. Now or never as he won't be able to do it on pts. I'm betting he'll bottle it.  Current OoM. 10 or 11 should be enough for a card. Barrie Bates is playing terrible but just getting just getting to late rounds somehow, and @Keith Houchen's woman on Stars of Darts  he made cry over their Xmas Dinner's fella, Kirk Shepherd, is hanging on like Mab to the Close. If I was a betting man though, which I am, put some money on Dyson Parody to get a card.  1 Jonathan Worsley WLS 8 1 Carl Wilkinson ENG 8 1 Andy Boulton ENG 8 1 Jim Williams WLS 8 1 Callan Rydz ENG 8 6 Darren Johnson ENG 7 6 Matt Padgett ENG 7 6 Richie Howson ENG 7 6 Barrie Bates WLS 7 6 Jamie Bain SCT 7 6 Stephen Burton ENG 7 12 Adrian Gray ENG 6 12 Christopher Bent ENG 6 12 Daniel Lauby USA 6 12 Patrick Lynskey ENG 6 12 Kevin Thomas WLS 6 12 Kirk Shepherd ENG 6 18 John Davey WLS 5 18 Dyson John Parody GIB 5 18 Thomas Lovely ENG 5 18 Cameron Menzies SCT 5 18 Zak Cross ENG 5 18 Antony Darlow ENG 5 18 Mark Hickey IRL 5 18 Conan Whitehead ENG 5 18 Dafydd Edwards WLS 5 18 David Ladley ENG 5 18 Robert Collins ENG 5 18 Jarred Cole ENG 5 30 Ritchie Edhouse ENG 4 30 Mick  Todd ENG 4 30 Curtis Hammond ENG 4 30 Darren Herewini NZL 4 30 Nick Fullwell ENG 4 30 Martin Atkins (Wigan) ENG 4 30 Ash Hilditch ENG 4 30 Matt Clark ENG 4 30 Eikichi Nakanishi JPN 4 30 Ian Lever ENG 4 30 James Kempster WLS 4  v Edited January 19, 2019 by PowerButchi
Keith Houchen
I'd forgotten about that with Kirk Shepherd! Â Dyson Parody sounds like a JML vacuum cleaner.
Moderators PowerButchi Posted January 19, 2019 Moderators Share Posted January 19, 2019 James Kempster who is on 4 points there was in the same school as me! He moved away about 10 years ago and I didnt know he played. Come on bud!
Stylin_and_Profilin
Durrant lost in the final today, technically the semi-final but if you won that you get a tour card so it's technically a final. Noticed on the scoring app from Thursday and Friday he lost 5-4 final leg each time after having a two or three leg lead. Pretty cut throat but i don't know if there is any fairer way of doing it especially with the order of merit over the 3 or 4 days. The entry fee is modest enough (£500 ish i think?) to keep it affordable for the serious players and dissuade the test pilots but it looks like there were a few who were happy to throw away a few hundred quid for the pleasure of getting scudded 5-0 three days on the trot; saw a 39.0 average in one of the first round games yesterday. Ouch~!

Moderators PowerButchi Posted January 21, 2019 Moderators Share Posted January 21, 2019 (edited) Right you are, I forgot aboout the Champions League. But he struggled on TV until breaking through in 2017. Was a floor warrior though. Â Ian White would probably have been a better example. Paid Members BomberPat Posted November 6, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted November 6, 2019 Line-up for the Grand Slam, starting this weekend;  I haven't had chance to look at the odds yet, but I'm still a complete Mikuru Suzuki fanboy, and wouldn't be surprised to see her pull off an upset or two here. Can't really see any result other than a Van Gerwen or Price win, though. I'm at the wrestling all weekend, so going to have to try and convince the Dundee Arms to show this in-between shows...
Paid Members Lion_of_the_Midlands Posted November 6, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted November 6, 2019 I've got to admit that I read that as Minoru Suzuki and was imagining a very different darts match.
