Polish Dad
I've done two courses of CBT and it's saved my life, so I'm a pretty strong advocate for it. In my experience it was mostly about giving me tools to analyse why I was thinking a certain way, and methods to intervene to stop a panic attack or depressive mood before it got into full swing. It also taught some really good methods of stopping a dissociation before it happens, which is a godsend. It'll come down to how good the person teaching it is, ultimately, but definitely give it a whirl. The worst thing that can happen is you do it for 8 weeks and decide it isn't helping, while still taking your medication,
Keith Houchen
Yep, CBT helped me a lot, but with all mental health treatments, we are Guinea pigs. Â If it isn't working for you, don't worry or blame yourself. Â You've succeeded in finding something that isn't for you so cross it off the list and move on. By the way, the reason there isn't a MH thread anymore is because it got deleted after someone started using posts people had made against them in real life, such as sending them to their employers to alert them a member of staff had mental health issues. Just bear that in mind and keep safe. Â

Keith Houchen
You could ask @Devon Malcolm what might be the best way to shift them.

Any idea the best way for him to sell these? A lot seem around 10-15 years old and discontinued. Are they old stuff or newer releases? If they are newer, job lot them on Craigslist. Older ones might interest collectors and even porn companies themselves that run retro porn sites.
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted July 11, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted July 11, 2017 Fucking hell, just realised you actually stated their age in that post, @Heatseeker, soz! Tell him to have a look at this site, more likely to get decent prices. https://www.naughtybids.com/
Paid Members stumobir Posted July 12, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted July 12, 2017 Thanks for the advice re: cbt, dudes. Glad to hear it's helped some of you, fingers crossed I'll get something from it.  I remember what happened with MH tread, just couldn't remember if a new one had been started. Probably best it hasn't, still can't believe people are low enough to use that stuff against others. Cunts.
Paid Members BomberPat Posted July 12, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted July 12, 2017 The thing to bear in mind with CBT is to make sure that you see someone accredited. Like too many psychology theories, it's been co-opted by very woolly thinking and hippy dippy bullshit, and isn't protected well enough to stop people claiming to offer it when they're bloody useless. Basically, a noted Psychologist (can't remember the name) was cold called for an interview, and said something along the lines of "everybody should make use of CBT", meaning everyone who could benefit from it should have access to it, but it was taken out of context as meaning literally everybody, so businesses started offering afternoon or two-day courses in CBT, something that takes years of study to learn to do properly. Which means there's a lot of quacks and pretenders out there.
Paid Members John Matrix Posted July 12, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted July 12, 2017 Anyone know of a simple way in which I could find a list of sports teams in the UK who's primary kit colour is yellow?  Google has been surprisingly unhelpful. Alternatively, feel free to list any you're aware of.  I've got Norwich covered already! MungoChutney
Dumbarton in Scotland. Alloa and Partick Thistle maybe too but they have black and red in them respectively. Motherwell is more gold/Amber I'd say.
