I'm not sure how you're doing it but I managed to turn up to Wembley 15 minutes before doors opening and be seated with time to spare at every All In. We missed the first couple of matches at All In buy-in and there was thousands still queuing, even after we got moved to the front of the queue. When we were at Westlife the doors were an hour before the support act was on and barely any queues. Same as when we went to Forbidden Door and flew straight through to our seats. Guess different venues have different methods and ideas, but its just personal preference really. Quote
Paid Members Wretch Posted 8 hours ago Paid Members Posted 8 hours ago Some kind of button you can press which will magically blackout the phone of your choosing for an hour or something. Fucking vloggers at footie grounds are seemingly increasing week on week. Not so much myself, but my wife, who is very camera shy, was extremely uncomfortable yesterday as some cunt a couple of rows ahead was filming himself reacting to what was happening on the pitch. Ten or so minutes in and she couldn’t wait for full-time so she could leave. Almost want relegation so the majority of these arseholes will fuck off. Haven’t read the rest of the thread tbf, so I’d be amazed if nobody has had a similar idea. Quote

MungoChutney Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago (edited) A central register of all trades people that is state run and does not cost customers or companies. Any cowboys get immediately deregistered/put in stocks or the county jail. Any work done by a registered tradesperson is guaranteed for a minimum of 24 months. Positive and negative verified feedback is used to provide a status from gold to bronze. Anyone going below bronze has to retrain then prove their work is up to standard before being allowed back on the register. Edited 6 hours ago by MungoChutney Quote
Paid Members Chris B Posted 5 hours ago Paid Members Posted 5 hours ago More zebra crossings in built-up areas. It *should* be a pain in the arse to drive through heavy foot-fall areas, and people should be the priority rather than cars. Go up the road to the wealthier part of town, and there are loads of zebra crossings - which feels kind of telling. Also, the ability to add bluetooth headphones in some cinemas. Especially my local Vue when it's busy. These are both small ideas because I'd take it just happening close to me. Quote

Paid Members BomberPat Posted 5 hours ago Paid Members Posted 5 hours ago every train should have a clear indication in every carriage of what carriage number it is. I used to get horrendous anxiety being sat on a train listening to announcements telling you that the next station had a short platform so you couldn't alight if you're in the first three carriages, or worse, that the train was splitting at this station and the front X carriages would go one way and the back Y carriages would go another. Tell me which bloody carriage this is, then! Quote
Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted 5 hours ago Moderators Posted 5 hours ago I'd also love something a bit more visible and clear when they change the platform for an upcoming train. Quote
Paid Members Wretch Posted 4 hours ago Paid Members Posted 4 hours ago You've just reminded me of something I thought about years ago. I'd like to see bus stops in busier areas have some kind of system where you press a button at the stop for the service you need which somehow buzzes through to the driver. Surely the technology is there for that? My stop on the way home from work has stops either side of it, and I can't tell you how many times I've missed my bus because the driver can't see me as I'm obscured by two or even three buses that service the other stops. I've seen people chuck themselves onto Mansfield Road with their hand out as the driver would otherwise miss them. For quieter areas of course, signalling the driver down with your hand is fine, but we need something for built up areas. Quote

Some of the fun of going to something like All In is the queueing and just people watching. 1 hour ago, Chest Rockwell said: I'd also love something a bit more visible and clear when they change the platform for an upcoming train. Vicky and I were on the way somewhere the other day and while we were waiting for a connection at Manchester Victoria station there was a platform alteration as one of the trains was arriving, so people had about a minute to make it from their platform to the new one, which isn't the easiest of things at Victoria with the stairs, and even trickier if you have to wait for the lift. Happens at Blackburn now and again, but that's only really tricky if you've got to get to/from Platform 4. Quote

I'm surprised there isn't an app for this already where they can see your location and you press waiting at the bus stop. I'd be wary of having buttons on the stop as teenage wankers are bound to get a giggle pressing them. Same for trains I'm surprised we don't have synced up instructions apps. 1 hour ago, Lorne Malvo said: I bloody love this idea. Wonderful idea. It would allow multiple languages so those weaker in English can enjoy the movies too. Quote
